What is Psychology?

• Psychology is the study of the mind and behaviour.

• It questions why people behave in they ways in which they do.

• How many of you spotted the grammatical error in the previous sentence?

• Were you bothered by it?

• Some of you were – some of you were not – what does this say about your personality? Psychology can explain behaviour such as this. Why would someone point it out, and another person who spots the same error simply ignore it – and quietly move on….
