Objectives:

To get familiar with the

main colors and shapes.

To recognize the different

colors and shapes in the

classroom.

Lesson Title “COLORS AND SHAPES”

Warm-Up

Crazy Shapes and Colors

Prior Knowledge

The students already knew the

three primary colors which are:

yellow, red and blue and 2 of

some shapes are: circle and

square.

Teach/Model

Whole Language method

Materials Board

Markers

Flash Cards

Book

Colors

Observations

In the class there is 1

student with Deficient of

Attention

Classwork Activities

1. The Ss. pay attention to the Warm-up, it is explained orally by the teacher, but also pictures are presented.

And the Warm up consists of taking various shapes in different color and putting them under a

cone. Have the students find the shapes and call them out. The student who correctly identifies the most

shapes and the most colors wins. When they find the shape, be sure to have them put the shape back for

someone else to find.

2. Then the teacher asks them to join with the person who has the same color of any of his or her clothing,

and makes them know where they are able to work at, in order to avoid a noisy or disorganized class.

3. After that the teacher asks Ss., to walk around the class identifying different colors and shapes as much as

they find.

4. The teacher asks them to return back their seats and to draw and paint at least 2 things they saw in the

classroom.

5. Finally the teacher calls out student by student to show and say what they had drawn and what color they

had painted.

Homework

In the folder, draw your favorite fruit using any learnt

shape and then paint it.

Notes

For the next class, students have to give an oral pop quiz, and the student with DDA has to draw and paint it.
