Finally, we need to know everything we can do to stay safe on or near the road

All vehicles can be dangerous, whether we are inside them or walking near to them.Even the safest drivers can make mistakes
or might not be able to stop suddenly.

We all have a responsibility to keep ourselves safe when we are near roads and when we are in vehicles.

We need to check for traffic the whole time, using our eyes and ears.
We need to choose safe places to cross and should always use a pedestrian crossings if possible.

When we get in a vehicle, we need to always put our seatbelt on and make
sure we do not distract the driver.
