Psalm 41:9
Yea, mine own
familiar friend,
in whom
I trusted,
which did eat of
my bread, hath
lifted up his heel
against me.
King David2 Samuel 15:12And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.
JeremiahJeremiah 20:10For I heard the defaming of many, fear on every side. Report, say they, and we will report it. All my familiars watched for my halting, saying, Peradventure he will be enticed, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him.
JobJob 19:19 All my inward friends abhorred me: and they whom I loved are turned against me.
Psalm 41: 5-8
5 Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his
name perish?
6 And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart
gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
7 All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do
they devise my hurt.
8 An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that
he lieth he shall rise up no more.
Psalm 41:1-4
1 Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time
of trouble.
2 The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed
upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
3 The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt
make all his bed in his sickness.
4 I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned
against thee.
Psalms 55:12-14
12 For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have
borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself
against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
13 But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine
acquaintance.
14 We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of
God in company.
Psalms 55:20-2120 He hath put forth his hands against such as be at
peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
21 The words of his mouth were smoother than
butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer
than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
Psalms 55:22Cast thy burden
upon the LORD,
and he shall sustain thee:
he shall never suffer
the righteous to be moved.
1 Samuel 30:6
And David was greatly distressed; for the
people spake of stoning him, because the
soul of all the people was grieved, every
man for his sons and for his daughters:
1 Samuel 30:6
But David
encouraged himself
in the LORD his God.
1Pet 2:21-2321 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ
also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye
should follow his steps:
22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when
he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to
him that judgeth righteously:
1.Confess your sins.
2.Cast thy burden upon the LORD.
3.Encouraged yourself in the LORD your God.
4.Commit yourself to Him that judges righteously.
