Indeed, the LORD JESUS CHRIST is so good to all, and to Maranatha Baptist Church (MBC) Okinawa! We concluded 2017 with dinner on the grounds, Drop the Hat Preaching of 12 men. We prayed as a church shortly before midnight. Early in 2018, Maranatha Baptist Academy (MBA) classes were back from the Christmas break! e LORD gave us great principal, teachers, and K-4 through 12 th students. Many students are getting saved! Please pray that the LORD will call many of them to the mission field. January and February were filled with effective outreaches to the Men and Ladies Bible Studies, GI and Singles Ministries, Soul Winning and Visitation to various US Military Bases and our community. We have five care- groups of our church members to pray for and care for their needs. e LORD gave us five great deacons leading our care groups for meetings and games. e LORD also gave us a well-attended Valentine Banquet. Many are getting saved and baptized! Please pray for their spiritual growth and desire to serve the LORD in MBC. MBC and MBA are super busy in 2018. Please pray for Pastor Ronnie Gilbert of Lakewood Baptist Church in Tennessee, preaching our Missions Conference next month. Pray for the upcoming Baptist International Missions, Inc. (BIMI) US Military Missions Field Conference in August, and MBC’s 50 th Anniversary celebration in September. Both are big events, and preparations began last year. e LORD gave us great leaders and workers to glorify GOD. GOD is so good to us all the time! Our son-in-law, Jesse, and daughter, Lynne, are so in love with each other that the LORD gave them a son born on Valentine’s Day! We praise GOD for the birth of Jesse the Second! Please pray for them and also for our son Eleazar “Eli” in the US Navy submarine in Hawaii. He is underway for extended periods of time.
