The Extron PS Series of External Power Supplies offers high reliability, meets the Level V standard for energy efficiency, and provides versatile mounting options for easy integration. The energy-efficient power supplies lower power consumption to reduce operating costs and help meet green building requirements.
The Extron PS Series is engineered and manufactured by Extron for increased durability and reliability. While typical power supplies last for three years, the PS Series are designed to last over 114 years of continuous use at full power. The PS 910, PS 1210, and PS 1508 are heat chamber tested to have a demonstrated MTBF - Mean Time Between Failures of more than 1,000,000 hours. The PS 1220 and PS 1230 have a calculated MTBF of over 300,000 hours. These extremely high MTBF ratings diminish the probability of a power supply failure and enhance overall AV system reliability.
PS Series power supplies are available in the most popular voltages used by Extron products: 9, 12, and 15 VDC. Using the included ZipClip™ mounting kit, the power supplies can be quickly and securely mounted to rack rails, tables, and lecterns. These power supplies also feature a 1U tall enclosure with threaded inserts to mount the power supply directly on Extron rack shelves. The unique enclosure design allows direct mounting to projector poles, table legs, and other oddly shaped structures. The PS Series Power Supplies are available in one-eighth rack width and one-quarter rack width versions, enabling them to be installed in small spaces.

Feature Highlight - Extron DC ConnectorsUnique to Extron is our captive screw DC connector and port. Three features of the connector provide convenience and safety for integrators:
Strain Relief Tab – This convenient extension provides tie-down points for a zip tie to reduce strain on the point of electrical contact. Three ridges on the underside provide an easy-to-grip surface when the connector must be removed from the product.
Wire Channel – The Extron DC connector features an extended barrier between the two wire openings to keep stray wires separated and prevent shorts.
Lock-out Tab – Between the two pins of the orange DC connector is a lock-out tab that prevents the connector from being inserted into a blue signal port on the back of an Extron product. Only the mating orange DC port will accept the connector. This keeps DC voltage from damaging audio or control inputs.
Overall, this clever and robust captive screw DC connector provides a reliable point of connection for power transfer from an Extron Desktop Power Supply into externally powered Extron products that use the orange DC connector.
