What is PS Asset Integrity Manager™?

Asset integrity management is critical to the operation of any process facility. That’s why it is important to have the most technologically advanced inspection data management system to closely monitor and manage the health and remaining life of your equipment. Failure to do so may expose your operation to equipment failure, repairs, scrapped inventory, lost production, and severe environmental and regulatory fines.

Process Safety Asset Integrity Manager (PS AIM ): The New UltraPIPE represents the future of inspection data manage-ment. It incorporates 25 years of refine-ment to the software, and includes the most recent advances in technology available to the inspection industry. It is ideal for managing fixed and rotating equipment, electrical and instrumenta-tion, valves, and piping. PS AIM sets a new standard in the number of ways it can help efficiently and effectively manage your equipment.

Siemens has proven engineering workflow/execution methodologies

for mechanical integrity programs and IDMS implementations.

Why choose PS AIM from Siemens?

What’s different about PS AIM?

Read Only

Data Entry

Engineer

Supervisor

Administrator

Role Based Security

Privileges are assigned according to role and resource. Some roles are strictly read only or editing only. There is no access to any back-end database. Users can have many combinations of these roles, such as a clerk who has a data entry role for one part of the plant and read only rights to another. Security is managed by an Administrator, so roles may be modified as necessary.

Real-time Calculations

Calculations are performed as you change data in the software, not through a batch process when closing windows. Instant feedback is provided for possible data entry errors and high risk equipment.

Audit Trail

This feature allows users to track the history of a piece of equipment throughout its life cycle. Users are able to audit over 45 different fields to see changes to the database. With this feature, users are able to see changes made to the database by all users.

Equipment tree hierarchy

This view allows rapid navigation between equipment with convenient options using a right click menu.

Corrosion monitoring• Store engineering information and

unlimited thickness surveys for

thickness measurement locations

(TMLs) with numeric or grid format.

• Use calculated long- and short-term

corrosion rates to determine both

TML and component retirement and

inspection due dates in accordance

with user-set analytical settings.

• Meets all API thickness interval

requirements. Also calculates

caution TMLs according to plant

defined thresholds.

• 9 fixed-format text reports.

Inspection activity schedules and reports• Identify and assign intervals for any

number of scheduled inspection

activities. Scheduling can be time

based, condition based, or user

defined.

• Attach written reports to document

results of both scheduled and

unscheduled inspection activities.

Reports can be written with MS

Word or Excel® (for digital photo and

analytical capability), simple internal

database memos or any other file

types (BMP, PDF files, etc.).

• On-the-fly reporting

Data transfer• Direct interface to GE Krautkramer

DMS 2, DMS, USN 60/58, DR1 as well

as Olympus MG2DL, 36DL, 37DL,

38DL Plus +, and Datatronics EHC-

09DL programmable data loggers.

• Compatible to utility programs using

UltraMATE®, DATAMATE, DMSMATE

or GUS file structures.

• DMS 2 allows attached A-Scans,

B-Scans or MicroGrids to store and

display in PS AIM. The ease and

reliability of programming and

downloading a data logger provides

the confidence for a data logger

program.

T-min calculators• Calculate thickness requirements

due to internal pressure using

code calculations (with automatic

material stress selection). The result

is compared to the requirement for

structural thickness.

• Piping T-min calculator calculates

minimum allowable wall thickness

for piping per ANSI B31.1, B31.3,

B31.4, B31.8 and B31.11.

• Atmospheric storage tank T-min

calculator calculates minimum

allowable wall thickness for shells,

annular rings, roofs and floors per

API650 Stainless and Carbon.

• Power boiler T-min calculator

calculates minimum allowable wall

thickness for seven components per

ASME Section I/ PG27 and PG31.

• Pressure vessel T-min calculator

calculates minimum allowable wall

thickness for 12 geometry types and

sub-types (heads and shells, etc.) per

ASME Section VIII, Div . 1 and 6 per

Div. 2.

Equipment drawings interface for AutoCAD and Microstation• Option to select AutoCAD for an

interface to AutoCAD 2004/2005

/2006/2007/2008/2009/2010, or

Microstation for an interface to

Microstation V8/V8.1/. Both have

easy-to-place drawing markers for

TMLs.
