On behalf of the Town Council, I would like to extend a sincere welcome to the participants of the PEI Credit Unions Provincial Seniors Curling Championships. Last year’s final was close for the women and must have been quite an exciting experience for both the participants and spectators. Hopefully, this years’ competition will match or exceed last year’s excitement.

During your stay I hope you take the opportunity to visit the area and enjoy all we have to offer. We wish you all much success in the tournament, I am sure you will enjoy not only the competition but the hospitality your about to experience.

On behalf of the Cornwall Curling Club, I wish to extend a warm welcome to all curlers participating in the

Provincial Seniors. We are pleased to have the opportunity to host this event and have endeavoured to

provide you with the hall-marks of our club: great ice and great hospitality.

A sincere thank you is extended to Darrell Doucette, Events Coordinator, PEICA, and to Dick St. John, Club

Chair for this event, as well as to our staff and the many volunteers who make hosting

such an event possible.

The PEICA is a volunteer organization, with a paid Executive Director (shared with other sports), and some part-time positions receiving an honorarium. Besides the PEICA executive, each of the seven curling clubs on PEI has one voting representative on the Board of Directors. The PEICA Board meets bi-monthly during the curling season. As well, executive members and a number of committees meet regularly. Each club will have a representative on the Junior Development Committee and an Event Chair for the Event Committee and to chair provincial events being hosted at

their club.

On behalf of the PEI Curling Association’s board and member clubs, we hope that you enjoy the hospitality of

the Cornwall Curling Club.

We thank the club for their support and all the volunteer hours put in by the membership to host this Provincial

Championship.

We thank the Credit Unions of PEI for their continued support to the Senior Curling Championship, which is

now going into its 44rd year.
