PCCA 5-Year Strategic Planning Process Underway

Providence Academy: Building Christian Leaders for the Next Generation

Providence Academy was founded in 2004 with 39 students. The academy has continued to strive each year since it was founded to improve the overall experience and education for students and fami-lies. As part of the vision for the school, the administration team, col-lege of faculty, and board of directors have embarked on the 5-year strategic plan for the academy.

The strategic plan evaluates and analyzes every facet of the school, from academics to financial aid, campus facilities (academic, fine arts, and athletics), and student extra-curricular activities. The goal is to create a plan to lead PCCA over the next five years. Parents should have received an invitation to complete an online survey, which will serve as a critical component toward designing and implementing the strategic plan.

We want to thank everyone for being part of PCCA, as we continue the vision to build a world-class, Christ-centered, college-preparatory K-12 school for your children in Northwest Arkansas, all to God’s glory.

At Providence Academy, we all just love Mrs. Brinson, our history chair who makes learn-ing about history fun!

Twenty PCCA 7th graders had the opportunity to visit Little Rock and learn about Arkansas state history this semester as part of their civics course.

The field trip started out with a visit and tour of the State Capitol, and then onto Central High School where the students sat outside to sketch the building. At the Central High School Museum, they learned about the history of the Little Rock 9, the 9 African Ameri-cans who were segregated into Central High School back in 1957. Students then toured the Old State House, where they watched a reenactment of 1861, the Civil War in Arkan-sas.

6:30 pm., and the location will be the PCCA Upper School (West Campus). If you would like further information, please contact the school at 479.263.8861.
