After celebrating the college acceptance of all of our seniors, we are supporting them as they begin the next phase of their lives as Providence Cristo Rey High School alumni. With that in mind, we have assigned a new staff position ‐ coordinator of parent and alumni affairs. As our school and network grow, we believe it is vital to maintain strong relationships with our graduates and the families of our current students. Equally important is building relationships with our corporate partners. We embraced both stakeholders in August when we welcomed our largest incoming class ‐ 101 students representing 31 schools throughout Marion County. We kicked off the school year with a week of Corporate Work Study Training and hosted our Corporate Work Study Job Fair for the first time at the Indiana Statehouse. Students met with company representatives and even had an opportunity to meet with Governor Michael Pence. The work‐study training culminated with our first‐ever "Draft Day" (see video here) when students were welcomed by the corporations that are hosting our Corporate Work Study internships. It was a day filled with excitement ‐ companies gifted students with their logo merchandise and posed for pictures, just like a Red Carpet Ceremony.
