ABSENCE MAKES THE HEART GROW FONDER
• Missing someone makes you like them more.
• I really miss my family, but absence makes the heart grow fonder.
BEAUTY IS ONLY SKIN DEEP• Just because
someone is beautiful, it doesn’t mean they have good character.
• I thought she would be a nice person, but I guess beauty is only skin deep.
A BIRD IN THE HAND IS WORTH TWO IN THE BUSH
• What you have is worth more than more of something you don’t have.
• I really wish I had a better job. Oh well, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
YOU CAN LEAD A HORSE TO WATER, BUT YOU CAN’T MAKE HIM DRINK

• I thought that Bob would take that job that I offered him. Well, you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink.
