Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Train up means to narrow; also initiate or discipline

Children need boundaries to keep them safe.

They need to know what they can’t do or where they

can’t go.

As they get older, a parent can be less restrictive.

Most of them will then set their own boundaries.

Good parents will train their children to say no to

temptation.

Best by example

A parent has to be an adult before he can raise his children to be mature.

There’s too many 40 year old

Wanting to hang out with the boys and

play with their toys

7 The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

That is just how life is.Excessive debt sets us up for failure.

You are no longer working for yourself and your family; you are working for your creditors.

6

Strive to manage your own life.

We can’t be dependent and independent both.

Adults stand up and take responsibility for their

own life.

If you want to make your own decisions, be ready to live with them.

8 He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail.

Vanity is nothing; or only trouble. The iniquity that many indulge in, is to

control others with their anger.

Bullies will only succeed for so long, and then their victims will stand up

against it.

9 He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor (weak, thin, needy).

(NIV) 9 A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor.

We must be led by the Holy Spirit to know who

the truly needy are.

God knows if he is really needing help.

God knows why he is needing help.

10 Cast out the scorner, and contention shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease.

Proverbs 22 24 Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:

There is a person we are better off without.

One who is constantly mad, ranting, putting down

That person causes trouble wherever they are.

They are bullies.They are bullies.

12 The eyes of the LORD preserve knowledge, and He overthroweth the words of the transgressor.

Good and wise words are upheld by the Lord.

The words of transgressors will not stand.

Transgressors lie, threaten, and entice to sin.

God will overthrow them and their words.
