Landscape is a way of seeing, a composition and structure of the world so that it may be appropriated by a detached, individual spectator to whom an illusion of order and control is offered through the composition of space according to the certainties of geometry.

The appropriation of space offers of perplexing comparison between a seemingly concrete reality of property/territory and the grey zones of personal perception. Prospect brings together seven artists to examine individual, communal, political and literal perspectives affected by critical distance.
