Actors■ I have chosen to use a friend of mine as the

main character of my music video as she looks a similar age to the age I want my characters to be (19/20) making it very realistic and she also fits the image of what I want my main character to be like. It is also very easy for me to able to film her as she is a close friend of mine therefore will be able to help me whenever I need her to. She also likes listening to house music often, and I would categorise her as being part of my target audience, therefore understands how the songs in the genre make people feel and the vibes they give off therefore will be able to portray this in the video. She is also a fan of this particular song which will help as she can work with it well.

Actors■ I have also chosen to use Emma

and Olivia as Anna’s characters friends in the music video, as they also look older than they are therefore will look like real friends of hers. They are also true friends therefore will be able to portray their relationship in the music video how I wish them to. Similarly to Anna, they are also friends of mine therefore I they will be able to work with my production schedule and help me out when I need them to. They also would typically be part of my target audience therefore will benefit me similarly to Anna.

Actors■ I have chosen to use Gideon for the

character of Anna's boyfriend for the pictures. This is because he also looks a similar age to what I want the characters to come across as and he also would realistically look as though he could have been Anna's boyfriend. Much like Anna, Olivia and Emma, he also would typically be part of my target audience, and is also in my media class so I will easily be able to take pictures of him with Anna for my music video.

Props

For shots #1-17 I want to set the scene as being a typical female orientated bedroom, and I also want to have props that will represent the narrative (packing up her things and leaving, burning pictures) therefore below are the props I will need in order to film what I am intending to film:

■ Bag■ Clothes (packing up)■ Pictures■ Bin/Fire pit■ Matches■ Petrol/Alcohol■ Car

PropsFor scenes #18-32 I want to set the scene that the girls are getting ready for a night out for Anna’s character to be getting over what has been happening and have a good time. Therefore below I have listed the pros I will need to use in order to give this impression to the audience:■ Speaker■ Dresses■ Make-up■ Dressing table/Mirrors■ Shot glasses■ Wine glasses■ Towels (for the beach)

Costume - Anna

■ 1st Costume: At the beginning of the music video when she is in her room, I

want her to be wearing dark clothing to show that she is in a dark place. I also want it o be quite casual to show that she is not making much effort with herself for some reason. Therefore I am going to dress her in a black jumper and black jeans. She will be wearing minimal make-up and will have her mascara slightly running down her face.

Costume - Anna

■ 2nd Costume – When she is going out I want to show a transition in her

behaviour and state of mind. Therefore when she is going out I want her to be wearing a bright, pastel red dress. I want to use this colour as it will be vibrant therefore emitting feeling of happiness and positivity from her from leaving her break up behind in her past. I also want her to be wearing a full face of make-up with bright red lipstick to show that she is now moving on with her life and wants to care about her appearance and move away from the break up and the way it made her feel, linking with the lyrics of the song.

Costume – Olivia and Emma■ 1st Costume -

When they greet Anna I want them to wearing casual clothing of people I would typically relate to being part of my target audience – therefore Emma will be wearing black jeans and a vibrantly printed top, and Olivia to be wearing black jeans and a bright, plain chiffon top.

■ 2nd Costume – When they go out, I again want them to wear

costumes I would believe my typical target audience to be wearing, and I think they would take a lot of pride in their appearance and make an effort with themselves as they really enjoy going out. Therefore Emma’s 2nd costume will be a white fitted dress with white heels, a full face of make-up and bright red lipstick; Olivia’s 2nd costume will be a black laced dress with black peep toe heels, also with a full face of make-up and bright red lipstick.
