The proposed road humps aim to reduce speeds and traffic flows on these roads and improve the safety for residents, in particular pedestrians. The waiting restrictions are required at the flat top humps acting as pedestrian crossing points to prevent obstruction to sightlines caused by parked vehicles improving the safety for both motorists and pedestrians.
