PROPOSED PLAN CHANGE 4 TO THE PARTLY OPERATIVE CANTERBURY LAND AND WATER REGIONAL PLAN

Summary of Decisions Requested Report

PROVISION ORDER

SUMMARY OF DECISIONS REQUESTED GUIDELINES As with all regional and district plan reviews and plan changes, the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA) requires the council to prepare a report summarising all the decisions requested. The information below outlines how the submissions were summarised and provides guidance on how to navigate the Summary of Decisions Requested (SDR) report. The report is made up of concise summaries of the decisions requested in submissions. The report is not intended to be a summary of the submissions in their entirety and does not include reasons for the request or other supporting material included in the submissions. The original submission should be referred to if you are seeking to make a further submission, or to fully understand the issues raised by a submitter. Each submission has been given a unique number and is coded against the plan provision, as shown below.

Plan Provision Point ID Submitter Support/Oppose Summary of Decision Requested

Plan Change 4 to the Canterbury Land and Water Regional Plan

PC4 LWRP-000 Mr A Nonymous Support

Support PC4 in its entirety.

Where a submitter wants the Council to confirm the proposed change to the LWRP in Plan Change 4 ‘retain’ is identified as the decision requested. Where submissions seek to keep the operative LWRP provisions and reject the PC4 amendment, ‘delete’ is identified as the decision requested. Where a submission requests amendments to the text, this has generally been identified with strikethrough for deleted text and underlining for inserted text. However, if amendments are not apparent, then the direction provided in the submission has been included. Submissions which quote substantial sections of the Plan Change 4 text without amendment, ellipses […] have been included to indicate the omitted text. Where the decision requested is unclear, this is stated, and the reader ought to refer to the original submission. Many submissions included a request for ‘any such consequential amendments’ or similar. Such requests have not been included in the summary of decisions requested. The Hearings Panel will be able to consider consequential amendments during the course of the hearings. Please refer to the following pages for the ID number of Submitters and Addresses for Service.

Plan provision tells you where in the plan the submission point is coded to.

Point ID is the ‘coding’ of the submission
