No. 1) (Amendment No. **) Order 20** 1. The London Borough of Hounslow proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under

sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 51 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 2. The general effect of the Parking Places Order would be to introduce a controlled

parking zone in the Chiswick Riverside area. The CPZ would operate Mondays to Fridays 10am-noon and 6pm-8pm, except Christmas Day, Good Friday and Bank Holidays in which vehicles displaying a valid permit may park. The CPZ will also consist of shared use bays, stop and shop bays allowing 30 minutes free parking, maximum stay of 1 hour and no return in 2 hours. List of streets which operate in the proposed CPZs can be found in Schedule 1, 2, 3 and 4 to this Notice. Detailed plan of the CPZ area can be viewed on the Council’s website.

3. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading & Disabled parking bay Orders would be to further amend both Orders by adding new waiting restrictions & disabled parking bays in the lengths of road as detailed in Schedules 5, 6 and 7 to this Notice.

4. Documents giving detailed information of the proposed Orders can be viewed for a period of 21 days from the date of this Notice: (a) online www.hounslow.gov.uk by typing in the term “traffic notices” in the search

bar; (b) at the Forms and Documents Counter, Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow

5. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing

Proposed controlled parking zone Chiswick Riverside STATEMENT OF REASONS Following consultation with residents, the Council is proposing to introduce a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in the Chiswick Riverside area. The purpose of this CPZ extension is to remove all day non-residential parking and increase parking provision for residents and their visitors. The CPZ will consist of resident parking bays, business permit parking bays and shared use bay and 1 hour ‘Stop and Shop’ bays in Strand-on-the-Green and Thames Road which will allow for 30 minutes free parking The CPZ will also include ‘single and double yellow line’ waiting restrictions, where it is deemed necessary, to reduce obstructive parking and increase visibility, improving the general safety of vehicle users and pedestrians. The operation times for the CPZ will be Monday to Friday 10am-noon and 6pm-8pm during which vehicles displaying a valid permit may park.
