Waterproofing proposal of Loose laid PVC Water proofing Membrane

Recommended System: FOSROC Proofex PGP

Proofex PGP is a 2mm thick PVC , flexible waterproof membrane. These membranes are used in

mechanically attached and loosely laid water proofing systems .

Uses

Provides a continuously loose laid waterproof membrane system for building and civil engineering

structures and is particularly suited to below ground construction.

Basement waterproofing.

Appl icat ion Methodology - Ver t ical

1. Lay full layer of separation Geotextile membrane (non woven polypropylene min 340 gr/m2) over theblinding layer as loose laid with 100 mm overlaps under the Fosroc Proofex PGP, this is to protect the

Fosroc Proofex PGP from friction and abrasion stresses .

2. Lay the sheets of the Fosroc Proofex PGP and make sure that 50mm overlap is achieved.

3. Prepare the LEISTER welding equipment till reaching the required temperature around 400 degree C.

4. Note: doing a sample for the welding after temperature calibration is recommended to make sure it willbe correctly welded

5. Start doing spot welding in the 1st 3cm of the overlap area (From inside) on each 30-50 cm along themembrane using the LEISTER DIP

6. After completing the spot welding then pre-welding the joints will start using the LEISTER DIP

7. Start the welding with the LEISTER DIP with rubber roller along the membranes overlaps

8. In case of using the other welding machines LEISTER VARIMAT and LEISTER TWINNYT/S there will be no need for the spot and pre-welding process

9. Make sure to extend the ends of the horizontal membranes for minimum 300 mm on the verticalsurfaces to be welded later with vertical membrane.

10. In case of changing the directions of the membrane where T-case is expected then all joints under theover lapped locations should be welded and melted again using the metal rollers along with LEISTERDIP. Otherwise patch strip to be used.

11. After completing the installation of the Fosroc Proofex PGP, the horizontal area to beCompartmentalized into 200-300m2 or otherwise agreed by the design engineer Compartments by welding the PVC water stops on the expected construction joints withExisting Fosroc Proofex PGP

12. Protect the PGP by using Cross Linked 6mm Board or Thermocaol Sheet with 20Kg Density or by(non woven polypropylene) Geotextile @140 gm/m2
