PROJECT MANAGEMENT
PIC AVIATION is fortunate to have Mr. F. K. Yazdi as its project manager. Mr. Yazdi has extensive background and experience in the setup and management of airports and aviation and has become a world renowned authority in the international air transportation industry.
Mr. Yazdi was the founder of the first international courier company Worldwide Courier Service in 1968 with its own night flights. Other successful projects to Mr. Yazdi's credit include President and Founder HA WA AIRLINE - ANTWERP AIR - International Export Service, FKY Company and the new revolutionary International Postal Systems (IPS). In addition, he has extensive experience in the setup of new airlines and in flight routing co?s~ltation_. His specialty is to set up a new plan or reorganizatio.Q and upgrading of ex1stmg projects. 0
Mr. Yazdi has acted as a consultant to numerous projects in the industry including the worldwide postal organization known as UPU. His contributions in this area are evidenced by his founding and organizati~ of the European Mail System (EMS) in 1986. This project grew from 1 flight daily to 25 flights daily within its first year. Currently EMS has 116 flights daily and is owned by European and other postal service organizations recently called EMS-IPC Corporation and in United States, Express Mail Service .
One example of Mr. Yazdi's experience in aviation industry organization is the new cargo airport in Brussels. As a direct result of his ideas and planning efforts, the cargo activity at this airport has grown from 200,000 tons annually at its inception in the begin 1980's to over 1,000,000 tons annually today. He has proven that in addition to setup and organization, the successful development of an airport also requires parallel marketing. His significant parallel marketing efforts contributed to making the Brussels cargo airport a hub for carriers such as Federal Express, DHL, and numerous other airlines from east and west.
As another example of Mr. Yazdi's aviation knowledge, he is the founder of World Aviation magazine in 1976 internationally (in Europe 1967) which circulates in more than 180 countries and maintains a data bank of more than one million companies and institutions. As a result, he has access to unlimited expert resources.
E5 7'abR f'.:,,JJ Recently he has set-up. and is now operating INTERNATIONAL POSTAL SERVICE (IPS) in the United States, which is in competition with the official U. S. Postal Service. This is the result of his engagement with UPU as a consultant and privatization of some official European Post Office. He believes this venture is1tronger industry than his first venture, when twenty-three years ago he started the world's first overnight delivery service.
