On June 9, 2003, CAPE evaluated KME'sPredator cab per SAE 12422, Cab Roof Strength - Quasi Static Loading Heavy Trucks. OnSeptember 17,2003, CAPE evaluated KME's Predator cab per SAE 12420, COE FrontalStrength Evaluation - Dynamic Loading Heavy Trucks. The performance ofKME's Predatorfire-truck cabs met all requiremcnts set-forth by recommended practices SAE 12420 and 12422.Furthermore, KME's Predator fire-truck cabs were evaluated per the requirements set-forth byE.C.E. R29, Protection of tile Occupants of the Cab ofa Commercial Vehicle, when tested inaccordance with recommended practices SAE 12420 and 12422. The requirements set-forth byE,C,E. R29, paragraphs 5.3, I, 5.4.1, and 5.4.2, arc comprised of the cab maintaining survivablespace of the occupant compartment in all seating positions, maintaining the cab to chassisattachments in at least one location, and maintaining the cab doors closed during testing. 'I11eperformance ofKME's Predator cabs met the aforementioned E,C.E. R29 requirements, whentested in accordance with SAE 12420 and 12422,

KME Fire Apparatus provides to the original owner a rustproofing warranty for a period often (10) years on new fire apparatus that is operated fornon-commercial purposes, provided the owner to whom this warranty is issued follows the "Customer Responsibilities" set forth below. Thiswarranty commences on the date of application of rustproofing material, and is non-transferable. The apparatus is warranted against rustperforation from the inside out (rust through) of any covered area(s). KME will at its discretion either (1) repair, or (2) replace the rusted throughcovered area(s). However, the maximum cumulative claim amount under this warranty shall not exceed $2,000.00, and upon one or more claimstotaling the maximum cumulative claim amount, the warranty shall become null and void.CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Inspections. Customer shall have the apparatus inspeeted once a year by an authorized KME scrviee provider. Records of such

inspections shall be kept and presented to KME upon demand.2. Damage to Fire Truck. If the fire truck is involved in IIeollision or other incident that damages the rustproofing application, the ownermust notify KME within thirty (30) days of such oceurrence. If notice is not given, then this warranty shall automatieally become nulland void. IfKME is notified as required, KME will inspect the vehicle, and if KME determines it neecssary in order to continue thiswarranty, KME will perform either partial or complete reapplication of the rust preventative material at the then-current rates to beeharged to the eustomer.

3. Rust-through Claims Procedure. In the event of rust through during the term of this warranty, the customer must notify KME withinthirty (30) days of the first notice of rust. Conformance by the eustomer with the thirty (30) day notiee requirement will be judged byKME on the basis of the extent of damage resulting from rust-through. If, in the opinion of KME, the rust-through is substantially largerthan that which could have reasonably occurred within thirty (30) days of the first notiee of rust-through, no such elaim will be validunder this warranty. Further, in no event shall a claim be considered timely if made later than the last day of the term of this warranty.

EXCLUSIONS:Service provided by KME or its authorized representative under this warranty does not include the following:A. Repair or replacement of exhaust systems, which are not covered.B. Repair or replaeemcnt of any parts damaged by rusting through, if sueh repair or replaeemcnt was performed before obtaining KME'sauthorization in writing.C. This warranty does not apply to exterior surface or cosmetic rust, rust caused by external damage from any cause, such as dents, scratehes,chipped paint, ete.D. Repair or replacement of parts damaged by rusting through on any fire truck whose owner does not present us with copies of inspectionrecords showing that all required inspections have been timely performed.E. Repair or replacement of parts damaged by rusting through if such parts were repaired or replaced because of rust damage and such partswere not treated with rust preventative eompound within thirty (30) days of repair or replacement.F. Those areas within the vehicle that arc foam or caulk filled.
