A. Introduction
The use of Biodiesel all over the world is enlarging in number. Countries from America, Europe, and Asia use Biodiesel not to replace petroleum oil but to help create a balanced energy policy with the most benefit to the United States. Biodiesel is one of several alternative fuels designed to extend the usefulness of petroleum, and the longevity and cleanliness of diesel engines. This type of oil is commonly use to blend with petroleum with any percentage.
Biodiesel is a renewable and biodegradable diesel fuel extracted from plant oil. A natural hydrocarbon with negligible sulfur content, it will substantially help in reducing emissions from diesel-fed engines.
Palm Kernel plant which is commonly found in the Philippines and in province like Batangas is one of our bases to use Palm kernel fruit to be our raw material for this project. Plant oil like palm kernel fruit produces oil that has the same properties like in coconut that is now commonly used as biodiesel in a country like Philippines.
A design of an apparatus that will extract palm kernel to produce oil is one of the best solution have another option aside from coconut. It will be very essential to all manufacturers and also to students in able to perform experiment like this.
B. Research Description
Objectives (General and Specific)
The main objective of this study is to design and develop an extractor for Palm Kernel Fruit for producing Biodiesel oil.
Specially, the study aims to:
1. Fabricate the apparatus using the vicinity materials taking into considerations:
1.1system components1.2 material specifications
2. Develop experimental procedures to produce biodiesel from fermented palm fruit to establish the following parameters:
2.1 Biodiesel properties2.2 water content 2.3 viscosity
3. Determination of the Biodiesel properties and the properties of the produced Biodiesel
4. Provide an operational manual of the designed extractor for Palm Kernel Fruit for producing Biodiesel considering safety measures.

Resource RequirementsThe laboratory apparatus will be fabricated in PCUM Trading Robotics Phils. And
the procedure for conducting the experiment will be based on the review of related literature. The performance of the apparatus in terms of produced biodiesel property, water content and viscosity will be evaluated.
The study will not cover the actual size of the apparatus, since the development is a miniature only, but the design will be based on the standard design.
