Producer(s): George Blake Production Title: Music Video

Brief: To create a music video to accompany a song, of which we can choose. Included in the creation process is filming the music video, and editing it ourselves using a program of our choice, likely Adobe Premiere Pro. Accompanying these creations will be a set plan, along with a range of other products that will aid or explain the music video creation process. The product will then be explained through the use of an evaluation, of which we will create 4 under 4 different title questions.

Aim: To create a music video, accompanied by a song of our choice, producing other products along the way.

Description of your intentions:I plan to create a music video, following the codes and conventions of the Indie genre, and as a result, I will be choosing a song representing this genre. I have chosen this genre, as for one it interests me, but also I think that the codes and conventions that accompany the genre, such as fast cuts to comply with the fast paced music, is a look that I want to achieve. I like the idea of a lyric video to accompany the song, however I am likely to go with a narrative music video, as this will allow me freedom to explore any story or setting that I choose, provided it follows the conventions and is suitable. In terms of editing, I plan to make use of quick cuts throughout, which will be the main degree of editing that I will include.

Target Audience:My target audience is likely to comply with that of the indie rock genre. Generally, this is between the ages of around 13-25, due to the interest and focus on live music within the genre, a scene that is generally attributed to this age group. The idea of a narrative will also appeal to a wide range of people, as they are usually fairly easy to understand, and also provide the viewer with a source of entertainment to go along with the song

Similar Products:There are a range of products that I could use as a stepping block in order to develop my music video. Artists such as Bombay Bicycle Club, Bastille and The Killers all regularly produce narrative based music videos, which will not only help me in developing my music video, but also shows that narrative music videos are successful products in themselves if artists in the genre continue to make them

Production Details:I plan to film using a Canon SLR camera, along with a tripod, of which are available in my sixth form, and also plan to use Adobe Premiere Pro in order to edit the video. If I choose In order to effectively maximize time with these products, I will make sure to plan everything that I plan to record on my chosen filming days.
