For my experimental photographs I want to base is around performing exorcisms and discovering evil spirits and discovering the darker side of death and possession. After researching into different photographers that focus on dark imagery and evil spirits I will focus on levitation and the religious aspect of exorcism, to do this is will be using Photoshop throughout the production of my photographs to help me edit out different tools I will need to use to create my photographs such. My first idea includes other people helping me to create the levitation effect by holding my models up and capturing the image then later editing out the extra person in Photoshop so that it gives the effect that my model is being levitated into the air by an unknown force. I also want to incorporate in idea I got from the photographer Natalie Dybisz in which she has changed the models shadows to animals, in mine I am going to change the shadows to silhouettes of a spirit or the devil. My second idea again involves a lot of editing on Photoshop and extra models, I am going to create an image that looks like an evil spirit or the devil are ripping open the chest of my main model, to do this I will take two separate image of my main model and the extra model who will be portraying the spirit then later editing them together in Photoshop to make it look realistic. Proposal: Discovering the dark side of death and possession.

For my experimental photographs I want to base is around performing exorcisms and discovering evil spirits and discovering the darker side of death and possession.

After researching into different photographers that focus on dark imagery and evil spirits I will focus on levitation and the religious aspect of exorcism, to do this is will be using Photoshop throughout the production of my photographs to help me edit out different tools I will need to use to create my photographs such.My first idea includes other people helping me to create the levitation effect by holding my models up and capturing the image then later editing out the extra person in Photoshop so that it gives the effect that my model is being levitated into the air by an unknown force. For this idea I will also experiment with the Harris Shutter app and see what results I get out of it.My third and final idea is based around the movie The Exorcist, This idea will include members of my family crowded around a bed with my model laid on the bed moving frantically as if they were being possessed, for this idea I will use a slower shutter speed to capture the movement of the model and give the photograph a more realistic vibe.

To accomplish these images I will need to right recourses which will include a DSLR camera which I will have access to either from college or a family member to capture the images, a tripod to ensure that I can capture focused images without shaking or in case I decide to use myself instead of models, the Harris camera app which I can access from my phone, models to help make the photographs possible by posing for me and finally the college photography studio in which to take my photography.
