We’re living in the most critical, most important period in world history. We’re inthe days immediately preceding the return of Christ. Proverbs 29:18 says, ‘Wherethere is no vision, the people perish’ (KJV). But I want to say, ‘Where there is avision, the people will NOT perish!’ I pray I never become so absorbed in the‘prophetic’ that I lose sight of the fact that my vision and my call is to win peoplefor Christ!

But the church is in danger of being asleep. Christians are not aware how closewe are to Christ’s return. Daniel, in Chapter 2:40-45, saw the European Union bro-ken by the return of Christ! He says, in the days of ‘those kings’ – the EuropeanUnion – Christ will come and set up a Kingdom and rule the whole world! We’reliving in the days of ‘those kings’ when Daniel saw the EU broken, not by politi-cians, or an army, but by Jesus Himself! We are living in the days of Bible prophe-cy being fulfilled. What shall we do? – Preach Jesus! Our task is to save our fami-lies, our cities, our nations. That’s the challenge! Jesus said, “Preach the Gospel!Go into the whole world, but begin at home!” Jesus is coming, call others torepent! If you have been baptised with the Power and the Fire of God, they willrepent! If they don’t repent, is it because you have not received the Holy Spiritaccording to Acts 2? Church, re-read Acts 2, then call the fire down! We need arevolution to change the way we believe the Bible until we become an army of‘Holy Ghost fired-up’ witnesses!

My father, (a great man of God, converted in 1905 in the Welsh Revival, a greatBible teacher), taught me when I preached as a boy of 13 and no one repented– that Jesus said, “When the Holy Spirit is come, HE will convict the world of sinand righteousness and of judgement to come!” He said, “Son, you haven’treceived the Baptism of the Holy Spirit yet!” It was a lesson which changed my life– because what I needed was the fire and the power of the Holy Spirit to bringconviction, conversion and a changed life when I preach! I asked my father tolay hands on me. He did, but I didn’t receive the Holy Spirit. As a result I spent thenext three months in an agony, 13 years old, crying out to God, fasting and pray-ing that God would give me FIRE and POWER through the Holy Spirit. When finallyI received the Holy Ghost just days before my 14th birthday – it totally revolu-tionised my life. From that moment God took control, things began to happen,people began to repent. My unbelieving religious education teacher repentedand together we started prayer and Bible study in the school; two boys in myclass went on to be preachers. As a student in Bible College I used to go everyFriday to Hyde Park Corner in London. We’d set up a ‘soap box’, preach theGospel, and every week, right in the centre of London, people would repent.

The reason why, as a young evangelist I went to Jerusalem in 1961, is that thoughI had received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit aged 13, I still didn’t have enoughfire, enough power! I heard there was to be a Pentecostal Conference inJerusalem, on the Day of Pentecost, for the firsttime in 2000 years! People were coming from allover the world but I didn’t have the money to go.I was married with two children, spending all my

money on evangelism, I couldn’tafford the airfare.

But I determined I would get there forone purpose only, to receive more ofthe Holy Ghost! The only way I couldthink of was to make an overlandexpedition and go by road. It took metwo years to plan. Everybody said itwas impossible: we had to travelbehind the Iron Curtain through thecommunist countries, face bandits inTurkey, risk being shot in Syria... It hadnever been done before. But I believethe Word of God, and the Bible saysthat the things which are impossiblewith men are possible with God! So Iput my faith in God’s Word to the test,to prove it! I organised everything, tak-ing ten people with me because I wasdetermined to get this power, this fire,this greater anointing in my life!

And something happened. Again mylife changed. After this there was anew power, a new fire in me. I nowburned with a new passion to preachthe Gospel and win the lost. We needto become passionate about what wedo! We talk about anointing, butwhere’s the passion? The Bible saysGod loved the sinner enough to sendHis Son to die! Why do I love sinners? – I spent a year in a communist prisonwith sinners. My best friend was a mur-derer, some were drug addicts anddrug smugglers, every kind of criminal.And when I saw them, I realised theseare the people for whom Christ died! –They had done terrible things. But theywere men! Your sons! Your brothers!Your husbands! Yes, the devil had got

hold of them, yet I learned to lovethem, it opened my eyes to the love ofGod for the sinner. That’s the passion,that’s the fire that we need! That fire’sin me.

We need to understand whatPentecost CAN and SHOULD DO in ourlives! Take Peter, that disciple whobecame so weak that when Jesus wason trial in front of the High Priest, andthe servant girl said, “I’m sure you areone of this man’s friends”, he lied...“No! I don’t know Him, I’ve never beenwith Him!” He denied Christ, not once,not twice – but three times! God helpyou, Peter! Can you imagine howPeter, one of the closest of the twelvedisciples, who has spent three yearswitnessing the miracles, seeing thepower, recognising who He was, theChrist, the Son of the Living God – andyet now in such desperation and fearthat he denies even knowing whoJesus is?

How amazing then that only 50 dayslater, the same Peter was one of 120disciples in the Upper Room, the doorslocked, the windows barred for fearthat they would be arrested and killed.Suddenly there was a sound fromHeaven of a mighty rushing wind –they were filled with the Holy Ghostand fire – you could see the fire literallyon their heads! When this fire of theHoly Ghost fell, Peter was so trans-formed, he threw open the doors,climbed up on the roof – and beganto declare the Glory of the resurrectedJesus, whom he had so vehementlydenied! So powerful now, that threethousand men, plus the women andchildren, repented! What a transforma-tion! It was the fire – real fire – of theHoly Ghost! Come on, Church! That’sthe kind of Baptism we need, that

takes the weakest, the humblest andtransforms us into men, and women,on fire for God!

When I was in a communist prison, theytold me, “If you deny your faith, we’lllet you out of the prison.” But how canyou deny your faith, how can you turnyour back on Jesus? But now Peter,who did, is up there, preaching anddeclaring the glory of God! Whattransformed Peter was the FIRE andthe POWER of the Holy Spirit! We needto get back to the reality of what trans-formed the early Church! We need thesame baptism of fire and power thatTRANSFORMS OUR EVERYDAY LIVES,until we become the witnesses – andwe are the ONLY witnesses in the world– of the power and the glory of God!

The church today needs to be chal-lenged, to get up and do something!There’s something missing. We talkabout the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, weread books and articles about it, wethink we’ve ‘got it’ – but the tragedy is,where is the evidence?! Yes peopletalk in tongues, but there has to besomething more! 1 Corinthians 12 tellsus about the gifts of the Spirit – gifts tothose that receive the fire and thepower of the Holy Spirit – SO ASTOUND-ING, SO PHENOMENAL – gifts of heal-ing, working of miracles, the gift of faith– we’ve got to see these in operation!We’ve got to get back to the practicalexperience and demonstration of thepower of God!

I tell people I’m not a ‘healing evan-gelist’, because it is God who heals thesick. I want to say very strongly, it’s notme, it’s the Holy Spirit in me doing themiracles. Today the Baptism of the HolySpirit seems to have lost the signifi-cance of the Biblical experience. When

people are prayed over to receive theHoly Spirit and they then speak a fewwords in tongues – that’s not it! Jesussaid, in Acts 1:8, “You will receivePOWER when the Holy Ghost comeson you!” Do we really understand theBaptism of the Holy Spirit?

Whether you are a man or a woman,someone just like Peter – you and I haveto think again and ask God to baptise usagain WITH FIRE, TO PUT POWER BACKINTO US! TO PUT THE FIRE AND THE POWERBACK INTO THE CHURCH!

In the Old Testament, in Leviticus6:9,12-13, God gave the command tothe priests: when you bring the meatoffering to the altar – you light a fireand it burns the sacrifice. But the com-mand of God was that THE FIRE ON THEALTAR MUST NEVER GO OUT! Today, ifyou want to receive this Fire from God,then your life needs to be the sacrificeon the altar of service to God. I believethat the command given thousands ofyears ago still applies today, that firemust NOT go out. At the age of 13years, I was baptised with the HolyGhost and FIRE! I will not let that fire inme go out! I’m over 80 years old andthis is the secret: what the priests hadto do to keep the fire burning on thealtar was to KEEP ADDING TO THE SAC-RIFICE! You’ve got to keep puttingmore sacrifice on your altar, more andmore – that’s what we need today!The tragedy today is that too manybelievers claim they are baptised inthe Holy Ghost – but where is the evi-dence of the fire?!

The challenge to the Church is this:YOU light the fire under the sacrifice,and when you light that fire, THAT FIREMUST NEVER, EVER GO OUT! And thereis only one way to feed fire, throwmore onto it, put more sacrifice on thefire! If the fire is not burning in your lifethrough the Holy Ghost, it’s becauseyou are not putting enough sacrificeon the altar! We’ve got to have thesame transformation in our lives asPeter had!

Our God is a God of power andauthority. The Holy Spirit will not onlygive us fire, but also the power andauthority that God has. If you don’thave enough power in your life, if youdon’t know God well enough, then the

Holy Spirit in you will give all of that toyou. I have an experience with God,which is not academic, it’s practical.My God is the God of the impossiblewho works miracles!

Why do I say this? Because we’re livingin dangerous and difficult times, weare moving so fast through Bibleprophecy now, that the Lord will behere before the Church has woken up!Much of the Church is sleepwalkinginto the Kingdom while Bible prophecyis being fulfilled on every hand! This isimportant because Bible prophecy isNOT speculation. What God spoke tothe prophets is what HE SAW HAPPEN –in the future!

When we go out and look at the starsat night, some stars that you see nolonger exist, because their distancefrom us is measured in light years, thetime that the light takes to reach us. Ifthe star is 1000 light years away, whatyou are looking at is 1000 years in thepast! Probably it’s not there now! Butbecause God is everywhere, He cansee past, present and future! InGenesis, ‘in the beginning’, time didnot exist. God only created time whenHe created day and night, whichbegan with the ending of the perpetu-al day! So evening and darkness andmorning were the first day – not thedawn. That’s still remembered in Israeltoday. So in prophecy God is seeingand revealing to us through theprophet WHAT HE ALREADY KNOWS.The certainty of God’s Word, thepower of God’s Word, the authority ofGod’s Word is that it is NOT specula-tion, but fact. When God says some-thing to you, GOD WILL ALWAYS DO IT!Because God, who sees everywheresees the past, the present and thefuture.

When I had lung cancer, I prayed forthree months for my healing, but Godwas teaching me that when He sayssomething, HE DOES IT! Numbers 23:19tells us, Balaam, paid by Balak to curseIsrael, can’t curse Israel. So he’s bribedmore, and more sacrifices are made.But Balaam says, “I cannot cursewhom God has blessed! God is not aman that He can lie,” – and he goesfurther than many Christians go today,he says – “GOD CANNOT CHANGE HISMIND! WHAT HE SAYS HE DOES!” If God

has promised you blessing, God willbless you, your life, your family, and HeWILL answer your prayers! God doesnot change His promise, He does notchange His mind! WHAT HE SAYS, HEDOES! When that truth sank into myspirit, and when God said to me fromPsalm 89, “I will not lie to David”, whenthat truth sank in, that WHAT GOD SAYSWILL BE FULFILLED IN MY LIFE, I washealed of the lung cancer! I had goneto bed, and I began to choke todeath, the cancer had gripped me! Itwas blocking my airways. But I had thepromise! In desperation I cried out toGod – no audible voice, I couldn’teven breathe – but in my spirit I’m cry-ing, “Oh God help me! You said it, nowdo it!” That cancer came out like anexplosion – so great, so much, the bedhad to be burned! I had learned thesecret – WHAT GOD SAYS, HE DOES!

God doesn’t change. He keeps Hispromises to us. When I was in the com-munist prison, I prayed for ten months,and God revealed to me from theScripture that He would get me out, onmy birthday, and that I would speakthree days later on Easter Monday inthe Royal Albert Hall. The day beforemy birthday, 16th April 1973, the guardcalled me out and was angry with me,“Why are you telling the other prisonersyou are going home?” – Well, I wantedto confess Christ and, when it hap-pened, I didn’t want the other prison-ers to think it was the communists, Iwanted God to get the glory! I hadbeen preaching Christ in the prison,now this had to be the demonstration,that the God who delivers from sinCAN break open prison doors! If Godcould do it for Paul and Silas – Acts 16 –He could do it for me! The guard wasscreaming at me, showing me the 7metre high walls, the machine guntowers, the electric fences, the viciousdogs, “Nobody ever gets out of thisprison alive!” I went back to my workbench – I was in a labour camp – and Iput my head in my hands and criedout, “Why? Oh God, You said I’mgoing home tomorrow, and it’sabsolutely impossible! They’re cursingand swearing at me, saying it’s impos-sible to get out.” And then God askedme a question, “How do you know youare saved?!” I began to argue, “I’m anevangelist, of course I know I amsaved! I don’t depend on my feelings,

or my circumstances, or on what peo-ple say – I depend on Your Word! –Your Word that says ‘Whosoever shallcall on the Name of the Lord shall besaved’! Romans 10:13. That’s it!” AndGod answered me, “Right. Did I tellyou that you are going home tomor-row?” I said, “Yes. You said it in YourWord. But it’s impossible.” At thatmoment, the guard was calling myname, “Hathaway! I’ve just had a callfrom the Foreign Ministry – you are tobe released!” That was the very guardwho had cursed at me and sworn andsaid, “You can’t get out!” What ittaught me was the absolute certaintyof God. It’s not your feelings, your cir-cumstances, the people around you –it’s when you know what God has saidin His Word, because God doesn’t lie,doesn’t change His mind, doesn’tmake a mistake. That same God tookme home on my birthday in fulfilmentof what He had said, and three dayslater I was preaching in the RoyalAlbert Hall to ten thousand people, justas He said!

This is God! GOD IS FAITHFUL TO WHATHE SAYS. But we need to find theanswer in the Word of God. When I ampraying over issues, I don’t want some-body to ‘prophesy’ over me, I want toknow what GOD prophesies, whatGOD says. And if it’s in the Book, GODDOES IT! AND HE DOESN’T CHANGE! Sowe have to look at prophecy, Bibleprophecy, in a totally different way.People laughed at me when I first pro-duced the documentary, ‘The Rape ofEurope’. But we’re living in that periodnow. Daniel 2:40-45. God is setting upHis Kingdom now, in the days in whichwe are living!

In Luke 14:16-24, Jesus tells a story: Acertain man made a great supper andhe bade many to come and his ser-vant went out to say the meal wasready. But all the invited guests madeexcuses why they couldn’t come! Butthis is the Wedding Feast of the Lamb!When Christ returns! The invited guestsmade excuses! The master of thehouse was angry and said to the ser-vant, “Go out into the streets andlanes of the city at once and bring inthe poor, the lame, the blind – bringthem off the streets!” The servant wentout and brought them off the streets,but the house is still not full. So the mas-

ter says, “Go out into the high-ways and the hedges and COM-PEL THEM TO COME IN, THAT MYHOUSE MAY BE FILLED! For none of those who were invited shall taste of my supper!”

That’s the age we’re in now when we HAVE TO PREACH THAT GOSPEL! Critics ofmy work in Israel tell me to stop evangelising and instead do all the follow-upwork. Yes, this is being done, but not by me. The people I am ministering to arethe Holocaust survivors who are old and dying in their hundreds – what God isdoing is opening their eyes to receive Yeshua and then they pass on. But theyare going into the Supper! Because the message of Scripture is, ‘Whosoevershall call on the Name of the Lord – those are the ones who shall be saved!’That’s why God is opening the door to me in Catholic Europe. They are comingby their thousands, and tens of thousands, they say it could be hundreds ofthousands, even millions. In Europe they say, “David, our young people needthis Gospel!” Because they have seen the power of God to change a nation,change a people.

The devil is pulling the strings today, but God defeats the devil. God says to us, “Ihave set before you an open door and no man can shut it!” But it’s a fight.Christian Church, we’ve got to stand up and fight! We’ve got to stand up for thefaith in the God we believe in! God needs YOU, He needs us, to stand on His Word!

Church, we don’t have time to play! We’ve got a challenge. I’m over 80. I’vehad cancer twice, the second time only 10 years ago. I lack money to do thejob. Yet people say to me, Oh, I’m too weak, I can’t do this, I can’t do that. Butwith God, nothing is impossible! Daniel 11:32 says, ‘Those who know their Godwill be strong and do exploits – the most amazing incredible things ever seenon the earth – exploits!’ Bigger than anything you can imagine! You should bedoing more than anybody else! Church, we’ve got to get on FIRE! If you’ve gotno fire, get the Holy Ghost! When God lit the fire in my life aged 13, it does notgo out! I keep putting the fuel on the fire – sacrifice, sacrifice. Yes, sacrifice.Sacrifice yourself, your personal dreams and ambitions, everything for Him!We’re going to win a Kingdom! You’re going to lose a dirty old world and gainthe Kingdom of God! Which do you want? Do you want this world? Or theKingdom of Christ? Come on! We have to sacrifice, we have to pay the price. Iused to argue with God, “Now that I’m 80 years old, don’t You think You shouldmake my life a bit easier?” He says, “NO!” – It gets harder, but it gets more glori-ous! To have this privilege – WOW!

The world has to see God’s power! He’s a God of power and authority, a Godwho enables me to do exploits! Jesus said to His disciples, “You see the miraclesI do, but when I go to Heaven, you’re going to do bigger!” – John 14:12. Areyou seeing bigger miracles than Jesus? But that’s what we need! We need abaptism of fire and power! The fire of God, the power of God – that’s the chal-lenge. God has called us to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit and do exploits!There is a song, ‘God raised me up to stand on mountains, He raised me up towalk on stormy seas’ – God raised YOU up to stand on mountains, He raisedYOU up to walk on stormy seas! God raised YOU up to heal the sick, raise thedead, work miracles and preach the Gospel – and He sent the Holy Spirit to dothis through YOU! When you’ve got the Holy Ghost, God does everything! –Because it’s the Holy Spirit who gives youthe gift of faith to do it! ‘Those that knowtheir God will be strong and do exploits! –Daniel 11:32 KJV.

We’ve got to be changed. Transformed,by the fire and the power of the HolySpirit. Then work as if Christ is coming!

At the end of November David spent 3 days and 4 meetings ministering to different Russian-speaking Jewish groups in Israel – Holocaust survivors, new converts from earlier meetings,

drug addicts in rehab, and young people.

When the people left for home on the buses we had hired for them, there were believers on everybus to give out Bibles, to counsel them and to follow them up.

David said, everything about the God of Israel is a miracle!Israel today only exists because of Him! He explained Jesus,Yeshua HaMessiach, from Isaiah 53, and the greatness of oursalvation! That the evidence Yeshua is the Messiah is in the mir-acles: “Oh God, stretch out Your Hand over Israel and provewho Messiah is – heal the sick in His Name, deliver Israel, forgivetheir sin!”

Most touching for us was to hear testimonies from those whohad heard of Yeshua their Messiah in earlier meetings and noware learning to walk by faith in Him:

First (1) was Assaf, a young man brought as a complete scofferto meet David two years ago when he was in the military. Hetold us that he did not believe at that time, but began to followDavid’s ministry on the internet. Recently he was deeplytouched when he saw footage of an 11-yr old girl miraculouslyhealed in Armenia. Then just one week ago he had a horrificaccident at work, a heavy weight smashing the skin and tip

bone of his little finger to a pulp. The first X-ray showed thebone in smithereens, beyond repair, the only thing was toamputate. But Assaf called on Yeshua for a miracle – andwhen he was X-rayed the second time, the bone had becomewhole! Now only the skin is still ‘chipped’ – but amazingly it isnot bruised! Now he just wants to serve the Lord and His peoplethrough the church.

Second (2) was a Holocaust survivor who had heard Davidspeak on the greatness of the God of Israel. She did notbelieve at that time – until she suddenly had to undergo 17-hremergency surgery and was expected to die. But now sheremembered what she had heard and called on Yeshua – andwas completely healed!

The third miraculous testimony (3) was from a father whose songot cancer. He said, “We prayed day and night – and Godtotally healed him!”

The churches in Lithuania invited David Hathaway to celebrate the birth of Christ, ‘the greatest gift’, byholding evangelism in the National Congress Hall in the capital city of Vilnius on Christmas Day itself.Approximately one thousand five hundred filled the hall, 90% of whom were non-believers. After thepreaching almost all stood to receive Christ as their Saviour!

David said: “Today there is no peace on earth. But Jesus IS the Prince of Peace. He died on the cross totake away your sin and your sickness and to bring you peace with God. He taught about His Father’sKingdom on earth. And He’s coming back to bring that Kingdom. He said, ‘Unless you are born again,

you cannot see the Kingdom – the only way you can get into theKingdom of God is by a miraculous new birth!” Jesus the Son of Godwas born into this earth by a miracle; and if He was born by a miracle –you can be born again by a miracle tonight!”

One young woman (*) came to the meeting to thank David. Four yearsago when he came to Lithuania and took the Siemens Arena to preachChrist, she was a backslidden Christian, looking for ‘God’ in all direc-tions. She had badly injured and sprained her leg practising yoga. Shecried out, “Oh God, if You are the only true God, the only way of salva-tion, heal me completely now!” And God did! And she returned to faithin Christ.

Faith in Jesus Christ is the key to release the power of God in your life. But not enough people use this key to thepower and glory of God. And faith is NOT faith until it has been tested!

Some people get quickly discouraged when their faith is tested. They feel they have failed,done something wrong, and they are tempted to say God’s Word doesn’t work and want giveup if the answer does not come right away. But many times the reason for the delay is to testthe reality of your faith, because only faith which has been tested is true faith, anything less ispresumption. According to 1 Peter 1:7 this faith is much more precious even than gold whichhas been tested with fire. And when your faith has PASSED THE TEST, when it has beenPROVED like gold in the fire, it will be praise, honour and glory WHEN JESUS CHRIST APPEARS!

Apostle Peter says in 1 Peter 1:5 that through FAITH we are keptby the power of God unto a SALVATION WHICH IS TO BEREVEALED IN THE LAST TIME. The Bible is clear we only have partof our salvation now. There is a greater salvation which is to berevealed in the future – we will only experience the real glory ofGod when His Kingdom comes. But we have the beginning ofthat salvation now, enough to take us into the Kingdom! Pleaseunderstand – we only experience the real glory and power ofGod when we are together with Jesus. But we have enoughpower now to get us there! It’s like sending a rocket into space.When the rocket is fired and leaves the earth, you cannot addany fuel to it – it has to have enough energy when it blasts off,to escape all the pull of gravity and get up there. The momentwe receive salvation, when we put our faith in Christ, God putsHis ‘fuel’, His energy and power, into us! His power is so explo-sive, every born-again man, woman and child becomes like arocket with enough power to blast through all the power of thedevil, into Heaven! The power that we receive is the power thatraised Christ from the dead! Romans 8:11; Ephesians 1:19-29. Toput this simply, today we are saved from the penalty of sin –and the power of sin. – When the Rapture takes place we shallbe saved from the presence of sin!

Peter says, simply and frankly, faith is only faith when it is tested.1 Peter 1:7. Peter’s own faith, to all intents and purposes, hadfailed him in the palace of the High Priest when three times hedenied knowing Jesus! But Jesus had already warned him,“Satan has desired to have you and sift you as wheat, BUT IHAVE PRAYED FOR YOU THAT YOUR FAITH FAIL NOT – AND AFTER-WARDS YOU MUST STRENGTHEN THE OTHERS.”

THIS IS WHY THROUGH HIS OWN VERY BITTER EXPERIENCE OF TEST-ING, PETER WRITES SO PASSIONATELY TO YOU WHOSE FAITH ISBEING TESTED RIGHT NOW. DON’T GIVE UP!

That is why Peter could confidently say: Through FAITH you arekept by this power, this energy of God, unto salvation!

This means that from the moment you were saved, God putenough spiritual energy in YOU, to blast you through all thepower of Satan – everything that can stop you – to take YOUinto the Kingdom of God. How does this happen? Through faith!FAITH is the energy in you, is the driving power, the force. Themotivation is something else, in your heart, between you andGod; it comes from the goal and the vision God has given you.When you have the right vision, the right motivation, then faithbecomes the driving force to fulfil the motivation, to reach thegoal, because faith links us directly to God Himself! When your

motivation is ONLY for the fulfilment ofGOD’S purposes, you can ask God forthe gift of faith, because faith issomething which does not occur nat-urally in you, it is a gift from God,something given from outside, likefuel, put into you to fulfil His purposes!

Faith is not something in your mind,it’s not something intellectual – it’s agift from God! It cannot be made orproduced by man. Peter had protest-ed his faith to Jesus, “Lord, I am readyto go with You to prison and todeath.” But Peter, in the natural as hewas at the trial of Jesus, failed miser-ably. What happened on the Day ofPentecost was not a formula or cere-mony, but something personal whichchanged Peter. Faith in you onlybecomes real faith when it’s tested,and if it fails, then you need a person-al experience of the Holy Spirit to giveyou Faith as a Gift. 1 Corinthians 12:7-11. And it’s not the devil alone who istesting your faith – God also tests yourfaith! It’s too easy to say everything isthe fault of the devil, but it’s not true –God tests us, He’s doing it all the time.But He’s put a power in us that isstrong enough to take us through allthese hard testings into His Kingdom!

Where are you without faith? Godwants this power in the church! Jesusperformed many miracles of healing,but this is what He said to His disciples,“You see all the things that I havedone? You’re going to be able to dothese same things that I do, ANDMORE!” John 14:12. Greater miracles,bigger miracles! So we should expect,

have the faith, to see more mir-acles than Jesus saw! Why?Because He said so! How?Through the Holy Spirit! Wedon’t do it in our own power,it’s the power of the Word ofGod in us! So that Faith alongwith Healing and Miracles are all Giftsfrom God through the personal work-ing of the Holy Spirit in us!

Faith is more valuable than gold! 1 Peter 1:7. Gold will not perish eventhough it is tested in fire and all thedross is burned away! And faith!!! –The Bible says, when we get into theKingdom, when Jesus comes, the firstthing that Jesus will see is our faith!!!Praise and honour and glory!!! It is ourfaith that will mark us, it’s our faith thatHe will see! The more I read the Bible,the more convinced I am that themost important thing after your salva-tion, is your relationship with JesusChrist. And how can we define orexplain our relationship with JesusChrist? I’ve never seen Him, you’venever seen Him, so how can weexplain our relationship with Him? Ibelieve that there is one strong defini-tion of our relationship with JesusChrist – it’s not just our worship, nor thelength of our prayers, nor how muchwe read the Bible, it is our faith in Him!Faith not only to believe what He hasdone for us, but faith to do what Hesays! That is the greatest thing thatclearly, unmistakably marks our rela-tionship with Jesus Christ.

Faith is trust. Do you trust Him? Do youbelieve Him? Only your life will tellhow much you trust Him.

There is one gift I want more thananything else – it’s the gift of faith!

Ever since I receivedthe Holy Spirit, aged 13,I’ve been asking Godfor the gift of more faith!I regularly take a weekof prayer at the begin-ning of each year. Onesuch prayer time hadsuch an effect on me, itwas as if God said that2002 would be like flyingin an airplane at about3000 metres, openingthe door and jumping

out – without a parachute – that’s thebest description, jumping out withouta parachute! Now you will under-stand what kind of year 2002 was!Many times during the course of thatyear I had to jump out of this ‘plane’. Ilike a bit of sport, but I wouldn’t havethe courage to jump from an airplane– I would be frightened if I just looked!Someone would have to comebehind me when I’m standing at thedoor and push me! That’s what test-ing your faith is! It’s trusting Godenough to let Him push you out of thedoor without a parachute! Nowmaybe you don’t want this faith, but Ido! In 2002 I had to jump out notonce, but many times. And everytime God rescued me before I got tothe bottom! If you want to release thepower of God in your life, then you’vegot to do it too – trust Him! With Godnothing is impossible. And I live everyyear like this!

Last year God gave me two Scriptureson which I staked my faith: Daniel11:32, which says ‘Those that knowtheir God will be strong and doexploits’ – KJV – and Numbers 23:19,‘God is not a man that He can lie, nei-ther the son of a man that He canchange His mind, what He says Hedoes, what He has said, He makes ithappen.’ Has it been easy? No. It hasbeen the hardest year of my life sincethe year I spent in a communistprison, 1972-73. Has God been faith-ful? Yes.

God tests our faith. But our God is theGod of the impossible! People arefearful that a day is coming when wewill be compelled to receive the chipif we want to buy and sell, could thisbe the Mark of Beast that leads to thewrath of God that cannot be turnedaway? – Revelation 13:16; 14:9-10.What will we do? But Church, we canhave – and I want – the MARK OFFAITH that will keep me safe by thePower of God until Jesus comes! – 1 Peter 1:7, Revelation 14:1,12.

The Republic of Poland is situated in CentralEurope, bordered by Germany to the west;the Czech Republic and Slovakia to the south;Ukraine, Belarus to the east; the Baltic Sea,Kaliningrad (a Russian enclave) and Lithuaniato the north. The total area of Poland is312,679 square kilometres (120,726 sq miles),making it the 9th largest country in Europe.With a population of over 38.5 million Poland isthe sixth most populous member of theEuropean Union, and the most populous post-communist member of the European Union.

Many historians trace the establishment of aPolish state to 966, when Mieszko I, ruler of aterritory roughly coextensive with that of pres-ent-day Poland, converted to Christianity. TheKingdom of Poland was founded in 1025. But in1453 a massive blow was dealt to Christen-dom when Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II finallysuccessfully wrenched Christian Constantinoplefrom the Roman Empire and the armies ofIslam began to advance aggressively intoEurope. These incursions deep into Europecontinued for over another 200 years, endingwith the Battle of Vienna in 1683 when PolishKing Jan III Sobieski and his elite Polish WingedCavalry led a coalition of Central Europeankingdoms against the Moslem invaders, deal-ing such a decisive blow to Islam that theOttoman Empire in Europe never rose again.

From 1795, the Polish territory was partitionedbetween the Germanic tribes of theKingdom of Prussia and Old Austria, and theRussian Empire. Poland only regained inde-pendence at the end of World War I, in 1918.But just two decades later, in September1939, World War II started with the invasionsof Poland on the one side by Nazi Germanyand on the other side by the Soviet Union inaccordance with the Secret Protocol of theirMolotov-Ribbentrop Pact.

When the German armies overran theWestern part of Poland, the first victims toperish were the Polish leadership and intelli-gentsia. Of the first 611 to die in Auschwitz,591 were Poles, 20 were Jews. During thosewar years Poland lost more than six million ofits citizens (one fifth of its population) – 3 mil-lion of the dead were Polish Christians, pre-dominantly Catholic, and the other 3 millionwere Polish Jews. Despite the fact that only in

Poland were people (and their loved ones)immediately executed if caught trying tosave Jews, 6,266 Polish men and womennonetheless risked their lives to save the livesof Jews. 450,000 Jews were saved by Polessuch as Irene Sendler, who alone rescued2,500 children. A third of all the ‘RighteousGentiles Among the Nations’ were Poles, andas a nation Poland ranks first among the 40‘Righteous Nations’ – those that supportedthe Jews during the Holocaust. HistorianRichard C. Lukas (The Forgotten Holocaust)observed that ‘So many Poles were sent toconcentration camps that virtually everyPolish family had someone close to themwho had been tortured or murdered there.’Hitler hated the Poles as much as the Jews.Heinrich Himmler, head of secret police,promised that ‘All Poles will disappear fromthe world.’

In 1944 as the Red Army swept across Europeto take Berlin, Poland became a client stateof the Soviet Union. This was not a liberationfor Poland. Many who had served in theresistance during the Nazi Occupation andmany of the Christian leadership were foryears imprisoned under Communism and,when finally released, disadvantaged inevery way. Poland was ravaged. During theRevolutions of 1989, Poland’s communistgovernment was peacefully overthrown andPoland became once again a free demo-cratic country. But for all those years, 1944-1989, it was the Catholic leadership thatsteadfastly resisted the communist regime byinstilling in the people a strong and disci-plined faith.

Today, as a member state of the EU, the peo-ple of Poland have become materialistic, dis-appointed in both State and Church. Butthey have a hunger for Christ.

History records Poland as one of the mostgenerous and courageous people in thewhole of Europe. Poland – you who withstoodthe Molsem invasions, who were decimatedby the Nazis, ravaged by the Communists,and ignored by the world – may God blessyou for having had the courage to do whatfew other nations have done – to stand up forwhat is right, no matter what the cost.

Although I am a British citizen, I amAustrian by birth; born near the hometownof Adolf Hitler, close to Mauthausen con-centration camp. I am related to leadingAustrian Nazis and war criminals, most ofwhom died unrepentant of the crimes theycommitted against humanity. These crimescannot be excused and must never be for-gotten. For this reason I cannot understandthat, within living memory of the fall of theevil Third Reich, one can once again hear –within all European nations and throughoutthe world – the call for Jewish boycotts andthe expulsion of Jews. In nations likeGreece, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia etc etc,Anti-Jewish movements remind us ofGermany in 1938.

I am concerned over the future of Israel, tosee the rising statistics of attacks on theJews in Europe and around the world. I amconcerned to see Christian clergymen andministers sleepwalking into replacementtheology which denies the Jews their right-ful place in God’s plan. I am concernedwhen I hear the ignorant say: “Well theHolocaust happened so long ago – let’sforget it and move on.” God has not for-gotten – Isaiah 44:21.

You may remember 2010 when theIcelandic volcano with the unpronounce-able name paralysed all air traffic. 6 milliontravellers were stranded because of the AshCloud. I believe this happened as a reminderto the world that God has not forgotten 6 mil-lion Jews turned into ashes in Europe.

In May 2007 Lord Jonathan Sacks (thenChief Rabbi of the United HebrewCongregations of the Commonwealth),said to key European leaders in Brussels:“Jews and Europe go back a long way.

The experience of Jews in Europe hasadded several words to the human vocabu-lary – like expulsion, forced conversion, inqui-sition, blood libel, ghetto and pogrom, with-out even mentioning Holocaust. That is thepast. My concern is with the future. Todaythe Jews of Europe are asking whether thereis a future for Jews in Europe, and thatshould concern you, the leaders of Europe.”

I support Israel and love the Jews.Unashamedly. Not out of guilt, but out of adeep compassion I received during timesof great darkness and deepest despair, thedemonic legacy of being the son of a manwho murdered Jews during the insanity ofNazi Germany. While lying on mydeathbed as a young man, in great fear Icalled upon the God whose existence theNazis denied. He heard my dying cry andshowed me His salvation through theSaviour of the world, Jesus Christ. To thisday, I cannot forget my consternation indiscovering that the Saviour of the world isJewish! I will never forget the night I wasdelivered from the evil of Anti-Semitism,when the finger of God wrote the love forIsrael – God’s ancient people – indelibly onmy heart.

Our future depends on learning the lessonsof the past; the lesson is simple. The ancientsknew it, the saints lived it, the Jews taught it –and I believe it. The lesson is to: ‘Love theLord your God with all your heart, with allyour soul, with all your strength and with allyour mind – and your neighbour as yourself.’All men are equal. All are created in theimage of God, who commands us to loveour neighbour as ourself.

History tells us the people who learned thislesson became peacemakers, who abol-ished slavery, alleviated poverty, builtorphanages, opened hospitals, providededucation, and risked their lives to protectthe Jews. By doing so, they changed theworld. Equally important: History shows,(and Scripture foretold, Gen 12:1-3) thatthrough Abraham and the Jewish race allthe nations of the world have been blessedwith culture, science – and the Word ofGod. It is the Jews who taught the worldthis great commandment – to love yourneighbour.

For this they have been rewarded withpogroms, persecutions, death camps andcenturies of Anti-Semitism. I share RabbiLord Sacks’ concern over the future. Theevil sophistication of their enemies does notjust threaten Israel’s future, but ours as well.We know that by the time Iraq was invad-ed, no Weapons of Mass Destruction werefound. The reason was Saddam Husseintransported these secretly to Syria, wherethey have remained hidden until now,confirmed in December 2005 by one of hisown generals, General Hormuz Sada. So,beside the nuclear threat from Iran, Israelfaces the horror of rocket-launched

chemical and biological warfare.

I live with the psychological legacy of myfather who taught SS Einsatzgruppen thedark secrets of killing techniques whichmade the Holocaust one of the greatestatrocities in human history. My life was sur-rounded by the dark conspiracy of silencethat kept quiet about the Holocaust anddenied all responsibility for killing the Jews.But I was determined to break through thisdark cloud, even though I knew it wouldcost me everything. Yet the price I pay isnothing compared with the blessings Ireceive when I befriend and defend apeople, who have the right to live in peacewithout fear of being bombed, shot at andhated without cause, of whom God said, “Iwill bless them that bless you, and curse himthat curses you; and in you all nations of theearth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:3.

Anti-Semitism is a virus from hell, more con-tagious than rabies, more deadly than theplague. It causes insanity and attacks thehuman heart. It enrages the mind andresults in moral blindness. It sears man’sconscience and stops at nothing. The Nazishave gone down in history among themost demonic beings in the world. Yettoday’s Nazis are far more dangerous andsophisticated than the National Socialismof my forefathers. Today’s Neo-Nazi move-ment has mutated into an internationalform of Socialism, similar to Communism,which is Anti-Israel and Anti-Christian.

I cannot understand how politicians preferto make secret oil or arms deals withregimes that call for the destruction ofIsrael, instead of using their veto to outlawterror organisations such as Hezbollah andHamas. Let me inject the thought: If Israellays down her weapons of self-defenceyou will have another Holocaust. If Hamaslays down its weapons of aggression, youwill have Peace!

I close with a tribute to three Jewish peoplewho saved my life from the inherited evil ofAnti-Semitism:The Jewish Survivor Simon Wiesenthal whobrought my father to justice and therebyenabled me to discover the truth.The Jewish Saviour Jesus Christ, YeshuahHaMashiach, who delivered me from a lifeof hell, and the evil legacy of Anti-Semitism.The Jewish Writers of the Holy Scriptureswhich changed my life from the hatred ofAnti-Semitism and taught me to love theLord my God with all my heart, to loveIsrael and the Jews, and my neighbour asmyself.May the God of Israel bless Israel.
