  • 1. GOD IS WITH ME INFORMATION ABOUT THE LESSON: In this lesson you are going to learn about Musa (A.S) and that how prophet Musa (A.S) took the people of isra'eel who were (under the pressure of phir'oun) to Palestine.

2. SUMMARY Most of the people in egypt refused to follow the message of Musa(A.S).the children of israeel were still under the oppression of phiroun. prophet Musa (A.S)asked for the children of israeel to leave with him but phiroun refused. Allah inflicted many punishments on the Egyptians but still they refused to allow the children of israeel to leave with Musa(A.S) 3. Phiroun plans to kill prophet Musa(A.S) phiroun was afraid that Musa(A.S) would mislead the Egyptian people. He suggested to his ministers that Musa(A.S) be killed. All the ministers agreed except the one whose name is not mentioned in the Quran. The Quran only says that the man was a believer. This believer spoke in the assembly where the idea of killing Musa(A.S) had been introduced. He proved that it was not a good idea: Musa did not say more that that Allah, the true creator, is his lord. later, he came with clear evidence that he was a messenger. There are two possibilities: either Musa is righteous or a liar. if he lies, he will be responsible for his lie. If he is righteous and we slay him, who would protect us from Gods punishment. Musa does not deserve to be killed, the man argued. 4. This angered phiroun and his ministers. As usual they threatened to harm the man, but he stood fast on his belief. However, Allah protected his believer. Musa(A.S) asked phiroun to release the children of israeel from slavery. The prophet wanted to move them from egypt to Palestine. phiroun refused and called the Egyptian people and the children of israeel. To a huge gathering. He reminded the people that he was their highest lord, who provided them with all their needs. He told them that Musa(A.S) was just a poor man. 5. So the Egyptian people appealed to Musa(A.S) and said, oh Musa! Pray to your lord for us because of his promise to you. If you will remove the punishment from us, we indeed shall believe in you, and we shall let the children of israeel go with you. (surat-ul- Araf 7:134) Prophet Musa(A.S) prayed to Allah and Allah stopped the suffering caused by the flood. then when prophet Musa(A.S) asked them to fulfill their promise to believe in the one true creator and to release the people of isra'eel but they declined it. So Allah sent swarms of locusts which ate whatever crops they had grown. Then the Egyptians hurried to Musa(A.S) and again promised that they would believe in allah, and realese the people of israeel .so Allah ended the punishment of the swarms of locusts. 6. Then again they broke their promise and gained the punishment of lice it ate what they stored of wheat and other valuable crops. they again repeated their promise to Musa (A.S) and again Musa(A.S) prayed and the punishment of the lice were stopped and then again they broke their promise . And another punishment came to the Egyptians. The land suddenly was filled with frogs. the jumped on the food of the Egyptians, shared their beds, invaded their houses, and troubled them a lot. They again repeated their promise to Musa(A.S) and Musa(A.S) again prayed to Allah to remove their punishment but they again broke their promise and the Nile water was changed into blood When Musa (A.S) and his people drank the water it was ordinary water but when the Egyptians use to drink the water they found it as blood. They hurried to Musa(A.S) but as soon as everything turned normal the turned their backs to Allah. 7. Prophet Musa and his people leaves egypt Allah decided to put an end to phirouns crimes after he had given him so many chances.Allah commanded Musa(a.s) to leave egypt with the children of israeel.so they prepared themselves to leave. This laer became known as the exodus. At night,Musa led his people towards the Red sea,and in the morning they reached the beach.by the phiroun discovered that Musa(a.s) and the children of israeel had fledso he led a huge army to stop them. 8. THE GREATEST MIRACLEThe children of sraeel were impatient and nervous.joshua(yooshaibn noon),said: in front of us is this impassable barrier, the sea,and behind us the enemy:surely death cannot be avoided! Musa(a.s) replied, ENGLISH: nay, verily my lord is with me and he will guide me! 9. These words filled the children of israeel with hope.when they saw the army approaching quickly, some of them lost hope again and were willing to return back to slavery. At that moment Allah revealed to prophet Musa(a.s) : strike the sea with your staff! Musa(a.s) did as he was commanded.A violent wind blew,in a moment the sea parted, with the waves standing like mountains on each side.Allah had made a path for them through the sea.Everyone was overcome with awe. 10.
