    Prophet Hazrat Ibrahim is the Father of Islam and was named Khalil'ullah -Friend of Allah. He went against hisfather, Azars religion, and hiscommunity who were idol worshippersand upheld his belief in Tawhid - OneGod.

    He trusted in Allah and showedwillingness to sacrifice of his dearestpossession. Allah did not really want hisson Ismail. And Hazrat Ismail, byagreeing to obey the command of Allah,relieved the burden Hazrat Ibrahim musthave felt. Both father and son submitted

    to the Will of Allah.This occurrence gave birth to Eid-ul

    Adha - carnival of Sacrifice, whereMuslims all over the world remember the sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim and hewas rewarded by Allah by sparingHazrat Ismail and making him anexample for us to go after. When wechoose to acquiesce His will, all endswell.

    Eid-ul Adha is celebrated on the 10th of the month of Zil-Haja after pilgrimscomplete their Hajj to Kabbah and followthe footsteps of Hazrat Bibi Haazjrawhen she was left in the valley of Meccawith Hazrat Ismail by Hazrat Ibrahim.Families get together to offer the Eidprayers and then there is feast,exchange of gifts and jubilation.

    to the brain causes the animal to quickloss of consciousness and commotion.

    Muslims celebrate Eid ul Adha by wearing their nicest clothes and offeringSalatul -Eid in the morning. After whicheveryone seems to be busy in socialactivities. Next People visit each homesof their relatives and friends. Arrangefeasts with special dishes, soft drinksand desserts. Children receive gifts andsweets on this happy occasion. Inaddition, like the pilgrims in Mecca, theMuslims, who can afford, offer domesticanimals. For instance sheep, goat, cow

    or camel as a symbol of HazratIbrahim's sacrifice. The meat isdistributed for utilization to family,friends, and to the pitiable and deprivedpeople. Now we will see how EidulAdhais celebrated in other countries of theworld.

    Egypt

    In Egypt Eidul Adha is celebratedwarmly. Eid ul Adha denotes the end of hajj. During the days of the merriment,Muslims across the country wake upand go to mosques for their prayer. Thisis followed by an oration after which,people meet up with their acquaintancesand dear ones and wish each other "kolsana wa inta tayeb", means "I hopeevery year finds you well". Feasts are

    highly anticipated aspect of Eid ul-Adha.All over the country, poor people awaitthis time, as this is a time they can getbeef and mutton, freely provided to themby the wealthy and various charitableorganizations.

    Morocco

    The Moroccan celebration of Eid-ul- Adha is similar to its observances inother countries. Animal sacrifices arecarried out in Morocco as a dedicationto the Allah. Generally a cowor sheep isslaughtered and its meat is thendistributed among the poor people. Thecelebratory days people visit their nearest mosques for prayer andsermons, following which people visiteach other's homes and relish festivemeals together.

    Bangladesh Eid-ul Adha is also known as "Kurbanir Eid" or "Bakri Eid in Bengla Desh. Theoccasion is observed religious and festalone. One month before the Eid,preparations set in motion and each dayleading to the Eid has local sweet shopsand gift canters readying themselves."Qurbani " or animal sacrifice isconsidered here as a " sunnah . Theanimals picked to be slaughtered mustbe of a particular age and should nothave any injury. Cows, goats andbuffaloes are selected for the custom;camels are also specially imported bysome Bangladeshis for Qurbani . Thetime of sacrifice begins right after the"namaz " of the first day of Eid andcontinues up to the sunset of the nexttwo days.

    PakistanIn Pakistan, Eid ul-Adha is a four-dayevent celebrated on the 10th day of theIslamic lunar month of " Dhul Hajji . Thefestive days witness local businesshouses and shops being closed. The

    occasion begins with a short prayer followed by an oration. Every Pakistaniwho can afford it, sacrifice an animal inhonor of the Allah Almighty, distributingits meat to friends, family and the poor.

    America

    Some Muslims observe it on the 10thof Dhul Hijjah according to local lunar date and some follow the declaration of Hajj by the authorities in Makkah andcelebrate this Eid after the day of Arafah. After careful study andconsideration, the Council has reached

    the conclusion that Eid al-Adha will befollowing the Day of Hajj as announcedin Makkah.

    Eid al-Adha commemorates the end of the struggle undertaken by the pilgrimsto Mecca and the holy restrictions. Thelatter also commemorates the struggleof our hazrat Ibrahim. His strugglerevolves around his pure devotion toGod, and his motivation to give upeverything he possessed for God evenhis loving son.
