Spray can

This prop appears at the beginning being used by a boy to spray graffiti onto a wall. The prop will need to be small enough so that it can be held by one of my characters. This could be made a number of ways, either from plasticine or cardboard.

Bong

The bong appears in a scene where it is being used by a teenager to smoke cannabis. This prop will have to be made in a way specific enough so that it is recognisable. This could be made using a combination of plastic drinking straws and plasticine.

Matches/lighter

The character with the bong will have to use either a match or a lighter to light the bong. I think that the lighter will be easier to create due to the fact that it will be less fiddly than a series of matches. The lighter could be made using cardboard and foil.

posters

The scene in question which features the bong and the lighter will take place in the teenager’s bedroom where posters will be up on the wall. These could be made two ways - firstly, by taking images of posters from the internet and and printing them off and secondly, by drawing my own posters on pieces of paper. I think that I will try both ways in order decide which would look best.

Lockpick

This prop appears in the scene in which it is being used by someone to pick the lock of a door. This prop is not too complex and could be created by using scrap pieces of wire.

Computer

The computer is a large prop that appears in a scene where a boy is viewing rude websites online. Given it’s size it could be made exclusively from cardboard.

Cookie jar and cookies

This prop appears in the final scene whereupon the cookies are being eaten by a mischievous child. This may be difficult as I will have to make each cookie individually. As my character will have to pick some up and eat them, it would be best to make them out of clay, which will therefore become hard.
