• Cause (Kalam) – whatever exists has cause to exist – universe exists

• Can something come from nothing? (Lane-Craig)- 1st cause is personal, exceeds effect (Aristotle, Plato)

• Thermodynamics predicts an external cause, a beginning- All point north, to a start. Infinity illogical. Besides, it gets dark.

In conclusion• Moral argument – reveals God’s character• Design argument – reveals His attention to detail• Cosmological – reveals His power
