Pronghorn Antelope

The Pronghorn lives in prairies and plains and other warm flat grasslands. It lives in Colorado, Louisiana, Arizona, Utah, and Texas. It prefers large wide open

spaces where it can run.

Habitat

60%of the Pronghorn’s diet is forbs, shrubs 23% ,grasses 15% ,and cacti 40%.The Pronghorn eats

when ever it wants.

Diet

The Pronghorn has the longest gestation period than any other mammal in North America of 235 days. It

has 1-2 young and lives 10-15 years.

Life Cycle

The Pronghorn was discovered by the Louis

and Clark expedition. The Pronghorn can run

60 mph. The Pronghorn

antelope is not actually a antelope.

Baby Pronghorns can walk just an hour after birth.
