AND RIS 3
Regional Smart Specialization Strategy (RIS3) - developed in accordance with the provisions of the Development of Smart Specialization Strategies Guide, published by the European Commission, in 2012:
• Sets regional objectives and action guideline, in order to capitalize on the innovation
potential, adopt changes in technological and industrial paradigm, while making
intelligent and sustainable use of the regional specificity;
• Identifies regional smart specialization areas to be supported through ROP and
POCIDIF in the 2021-2027 programing period;
• Mandatory document for accessing funds under Policy Objective 1 - A Smarter
Europe.
