Synopsis: When Joshua is very old he reminds the Israelites to look back to remember that Jehovah has kept promises and given them the land promised to Abraham. Knowing that Jehovah keeps His promises, he reminds them that looking forward they need to obey, cling and love God and He will help them possess the land. But, if they choose to turn away to other gods and associate with the other nations, then they will face the anger of Jehovah and He will destroy them. We too have a choice to make knowing that God keeps His promises.
