I conducted both primary and secondary research, interviewing 14 subject matter experts and gathered data from both internal and external databases. To reach the final product, I drafted 17 different iterations of the profiles to ensure they were comprehensive, accurate and easily digestible to both seasoned professionals and university students. I assisted in presenting the profiles to the client and community stakeholders for feedback. The objective of this project was to provide recommendations to support and strengthen the client’s leadership development and succession plan. The approach had to be applicable to both small and large non-profit organizations. I researched 7 different organizations with similar funding models, operating budgets, missions, size and scale as the client. I designed the structure and layout of the leading practices to highlight the following key elements: organization overview, succession challenge, approach or innovation used, outcome and relevance to client.
