PROJECT PROPOSAL FORMAT

Before starting on any project, a concise but thoroughly thought-out project proposalstandardizes the research work. This process will help you clarify your project plan. Itprovides a precise concept about the project itself and guides you towards iterativerefinement on the project plan.

The Project Proposal must be:

1) typed2) written in technical language

3) about 7-10 pages long(inclusive a cover page) & no more4) prepared within due date

The Project Proposal must include:

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Name of Institution

2. Project Title : Name of the project; be concise and informative3. Aim of the Project

4. Name of Project Team Members (inclusive of your roll nos.)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:Provide a brief overview and summary of the project. It should provide acredible statement that establishes the significance of the project.

PROBLEM STATEMENT:

State the challenges identified, the motivation/need to address these challenges andthe conditions to be changed by the project.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES:

The objectives should describe the intended outcome of the project and should beSMART (Simple, Measurable, Accurate, Realistic and Time Bound)

PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION AND MANAGEMENT PLAN:

Describe the project activities indicating how the objectives will be accomplished.What and how will be done to achieve the defined objectives.Be specific on what platform or sensors or components/tools you will use.

PROJECT BUDGET/SCHEDULE:

Indicate the total cost of the project and provide a detailed budget for these costs. Alsomention the work schedule.
