I would like to share with you the academic achievements of our GNI children. I fondly call them my “acres of diamonds” for these were throw- away kids. At least twice a year after their mid-term and final exam results, I try to recognize those kids who have Our kids score very high in the overall academic achievements in their schools. I believe that a good education coupled with a strong foundation in the English language is their ticket out of poverty. We work diligently at creating road maps for all our kids – whether they excel in academics or arts or vocational technical training. I recognize that not every child will excel in academics, but I believe that every child is born with intelligence and has a great future. I always tell our directors: “We have two tasks with our kids: Equip them for earth and prepare them for Heaven.” We are about the only child care organization that keeps their children 24/7 (rather than the typical 4 hours of day- care) and will give the option to every child to go to Bible College, secular College or vocational/technical training. And you have a part in it for a relatively small amount of money!! This is Soniya Sherpa. Rescued from the Nepal border in 2006, she was an imminent target for child tra�ckers. Her father had died and her illiterate mother was unable to care for her. We got to her BEFORE the tra�ckers did and guess what? I just brought her to the USA!! She was awarded a full scholarship to attend a Christian boarding High School−Canyonville Christian Academy −in Southern Oregon. A top academic student, she has dreams of becoming a medical Doctor and going back to her area to serve the broken people in the hills of Northeast India. Hallelujah!
What a story of redemption. The grace of Christ has moved Soniya from the imminent possibility of a painful destruction to the real possibility of an amazing future. Perhaps in years to come, other top GNI students can do the same. I just love it!!

As you know, our motto is LINKING RESOURCES WITH HURTING PEOPLE. Plans are underway to conduct a free cataract surgery camp in Baligeria/Lodha area right after Thanksgiving. A nine-member team, from Barnett-Dulaney Eye Center in Phoenix, consisting of surgeons, nurses and technicians, is coming with a goal of doing 250 cataract surgeries in seven days. It will be a �rst for GNI. Please pray with me that everything will go smoothly. These activities always stir up Satan’s camp. But thanks be to God who gives us the victory…
Thank you again for your faithful gifts and prayer support as you enable me to be His Hand extended. GNI has gained loyal supporters in Canada and New Zealand and is being established in both those countries as a recognized charity. I am pressing on with His work for His glory. I have a very heavy fall travel schedule, but the more I gaze on the Cross, the more I know that I can do no less than to take His love to the lost, the last and the least.

Prize for best “football” (soccer) team
NEW BUILDING DEDICATIONS:
CATARACT SURGEONS to bless those in need: The boys at our �agship Dream Center - Baligeria (�rst home to open in 1998), received this sheep as a prize for best football team (soccer) among the area government schools. Life is lived in very practical terms in these remote areas of India even even for students. “Football” along with cricket are the two favorite sports in India.
TB testing a fact of life...Here is a photo received this week of our high risk girls in our Kalimpong home up north who completed their test for tuberculosis. TB is rampant in many areas and we work hard to make sure the kids remain healthy. If they do contract it, they are put on a regimen of medication, ultra-nutritional foods and kept separate in addition to using a face mask.
I am happy to report that we are nearing completion of four new campuses for our children. I strongly feel that these are God’s kids on loan to us and we must give them our very best. Several people have caught that vision and blessed GNI with $100,000 to build an entire Dream Center. This amount will typically buy about half an acre of land where we put up an 8000 sq ft two-story building with dorms, dining/chapel, toilets/bath, sta� quarters, and a full infrastructure to house 200+ kids and sta� until Jesus returns. Come with us to take part in one of these dedication days−a joyous explosion of colors, food, dance, crowds, fun and laughter. It is always memorable.
