Project Brief New Airport Development Sioux County, IA Regional Airport DGR Engineering led the design and construction phase engineering for the development of a new $30 million airport. Tasks included all phases of design and construction engineering activities. Construction of the $3.5 million first grading phase was completed in 2016. The construction of the $4 million initial paving project was completed in fall 2017. A final $5 million paving and electrical project was completed in 2018. The new regional airport opened in November 2018. DGR also provided design and construction services for various terminal area buildings, hangars, fueling, parking, electrical, utility, and land-side support facilities. Improvements: Airport Grading Airport Paving Navigational systems Approach development Runway/taxiway lighting systems Precision Approach Path Indicators (PAPI) Runway End Identifier Lights (REIL) Medium Approach Lighting System (MALSR) Drainage improvements Landside Development
