Syzran is our native town. It is small but beautiful. Syzran is 327 years old.

Syzran was founded in 1683

Syzran was founded on the bank of the Volga river and was built as a fortress. The Kremlin helped to protect the town from enemies, that's why Syzran was never conquered.

The history of Syzran was peaceful,but not always.In the beginning of the 20th century there happened fire in the centre of Syzran.

It destroyed a lot of buildings because they were wooden.

Syzran has rich history. Many famous people lived and visited our town: Lenin and Tolstoy were among them. Many citizens participated in Great October Revolution and Great Patriotic War. The largest plants were evacuated to Syzran during the last event.

There is a monument to the Heroes of the wars near the Kremlin.The Kremlin is the oldest building in Syzran.Syzran Kremlin was built in 1683 on high steepy bank of Syzran river. Voevodas house was situated inside this building. Shops were located in Syzran Kremlin.

Syzran developed intensivly. The Drama theater of A.Tolstoy was opened by a local merchant in 1870. Nowadays professional actors work at the theater and their performance are well-known all over Russia.Syzran is developing today.
