/// ReDESIGN PROPOSAL REPLICATOR 2 ///

There has been plenty of hype recently about the wonders of three
dimensional printing. But 3D printing machines can do more than produce
objects. They could change the future of the world’s cities. The aim of the
redesign is to create a 3D printer that is able to satisfy the necessities of
underprivileged communities in their path to became self-sufficient.
Simplifying the hardware or adding solar panels are some of the changes
to the design. Also, by including a scanner the machine will allow the user
to replicate anything without the need to model it first in a computer. But
perhaps the biggest challenge was to make the 3D printer into a sand
extruder, so that filament wouldn’t be always necessary.

Millions of Africans have never been to school and around one-third of Africans over 15 years of age cannot read or write.
In countries such as Burkina Faso and Chad, as many as 75 percent of the population cannot read or write.
