SEC014 Example of restricted items can be found below, however listings are without limitations. PROHIBITED/RESTRICTED ITEMS Restricted Items The following items are prohibited from the venue and will not require escalation unless the owner refuses to dispose of the item or an offence is committed or is suspected: Prohibited Items The following items are illegal, potentially illegal or prohibited from the venue and will require escalation to the police through established incident escalation procedures. Large flags (larger than 1.5 metre Sq.) Excessive noisemakers such as vuvuzelas, horns, air horns, drums, rattles, and musical instruments likely to impact on spectator experience Large (golf) umbrellas Food and/or non-alcoholic drinks (other than small amounts of food and non- alcoholic drinks for personal consumption, please refer to Prohibited Items Policy) Banners and flag poles Oversized hats likely to obscure view or impact on spectator experience Explosive devices and explosive materials Firearms, ammunition or any device suspected to be a firearm including component parts and imitations Flares, fireworks, pyrotechnics including laser pointers and strobe lights, smoke canisters, signalling devices which emit smoke, dye or flames Hazardous substances including suspicious powders, pastes, chemicals, irritants, toxic substances and gas canisters (except for medical use) Incendiary devices All types of knives and bladed items; offensive weapons or implements, such as extendable batons, or any items modified into weapons or replica or imitation weapons Personal protection sprays such as CS, pepper or other irritant sprays Controlled drugs and substances which have the appearance of being a controlled drug Items which have the appearance of an illegal or prohibited item e.g. replica firearms or hoax improvised explosive devices whether capable of causing actual harm or not Any other item that an Authorised Person considers dangerous, hazardous and/or illegal or that may be used as a weapon or a missile or that may compromise or otherwise interfere with the safety of (or pose a hazard to) any person or security at the venue Bicycles (including folding types), roller-skates, skateboards, or other types of skates, prams and children’s buggies or similar items Glass bottles and glass receptacles (medication bottles for personal use are excluded) Aluminium containers or cans of any description Phone jammers, radio scanner and walkie-talkies; personal/private wireless and 3G or 4G access points/hubs (smart devices are permitted but must not be used as wireless access points to connect multiple devices) Alcoholic beverages Laser pointers, strobe lights and similar light emitting devices Food and/or non-alcoholic drinks Hard-sided cool boxes, or more than one soft-sided bag of no more than 25 litres capacity Protest material of any kind, including banners, clothing, signs or materials displaying political, religious, offensive or race related messages, slogans or images. Pets or animals (other than guide/ service dogs) Any tripods, monopods or video camera equipment whatsoever, including selfie sticks or equivalent (whether or not for personal use); and any camera or other type of photographic or recording device (of any nature whatsoever and whether capturing still or moving pictures) other than for personal use Any objects bearing trademarks or other kinds of promotional signs and messages (of whatever nature) which the tournament organisers believe are for promotional or ambush marketing purposes Spray paint or any other item which could be used to sabotage property
