We all know the need to utilise the Renewable and Non-Exhaustible sources of energy keeping in mind about our current fuel and energy sources and the rate at which they are depleting. One of the most essential energy is Solar Energy and since its presence is in abundance, there is dire need to utilise solar energy. The ESVC-2014 is a competition based on the idea of manufacturing a car and running it using Solar Power. It is an international competition, and teams from across the continent have participated. The championship competition organised by LPU has been divided into parts: 1. The Virtual Round, & 2. The Dynamic Round. The Virtual Round was held on 18 th January, 2014 at Jalandhar, Punjab. This Round included the presentation and detail reports of our car and progress report along with Design Validations. More details about this event are available on the Website- www.esvc2014.in. We take pride in saying that TEAM ARKA of GALGOTIAS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY cleared the virtual round of Asia’s first ELECTRIC SOLAR VEHICLE CHAMPIONSHIP (ESVC-2014). Our team secured 10 th position across ASIA and secured 284/500 points. While at the competition 104 teams participated, out of which 36 teams cleared the Virtual Round and now will be competing with us in The Dynamic Round.
