This open-call program seeks to create a platform for projects in the full range of arts-related genres to create new forms of expression/activities and introduce them to society at large. It will consist of projects selected by jury and from the TOKAS recommendation program.

アートにまつわるあらゆるジャンルを対象に、新しい表現を創造し、社会へと開いていく意欲に満ちた企画が集まるプラットフォームを目指す公募プログラム。選出された企画のほか、TOKASによる推奨企画などを行います。

The Tokyo Contemporary Art Award (TCAA) was established with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in 2018 with the aim of encouraging the next step in the careers for mid-career artists having an interest in conducting activities overseas. An exhibition is held showing the work of the two winners of the inaugural Award, Kazama Sachiko and Shitamichi Motoyuki.

海外での活動に意欲がある中堅アーティストの更なる飛躍を促すことを目的に、東京都と2018年度に創設した「Tokyo Contemporary Art Award （TCAA）」。第1回目の受賞者・風間サチコ、下道基行による展覧会を開催します。

A group exhibition is held primarily for artists who have experience participating in TOKAS programs for discovering, nurturing and supporting, etc., of young artists, and who have continue to produce notable work since.

若手アーティストの発掘、育成、支援などを行ってきたTOKASのプログラムに参加経験があり、現在も注目すべき活動を展開するアーティストを中心にグループ展を開催します。

This open-call program for artists under age 35 and based in Japan provides the opportunity to hold a solo exhibition. Six artists/groups selected by jury format hold exhibitions of works from a wide range of genres, from paintings and sculpture/3D works to film and more.

35歳以下の日本在住アーティストを対象に、個展開催の機会を提供する公募プログラム。審査を経て選出された6組のアーティストが、平面、立体、映像など多様なジャンルで展覧会を開催します。

Part 1: 2020.7.4-8.10 Part 2: 2020.8.22-9.27 Two exhibitions are held to show the results of work by 15 creators done in residence at the TOKAS Residency and our partner overseas organizations in seven cities (Basel, Berlin, Seoul, Taipei, Helsinki, Quebec, and Vienna) in 2019.

2019年度にTOKASレジデンシーと海外7都市（バーゼル、ベルリン、ソウル、台北、ヘルシンキ、ケベック、ウィーン）の提携機関で滞在制作を行った全15名のクリエーターが2期にわたり成果を発表します。

This program aims to encourage thought about a variety of subjects from art to social issues from multi-cultural perspectives. The work from arts spaces in Germany, Japan and the United States, or creators active at them are introduced in collaboration with the XYZ collective.

多文化的な視点を通じ、アートや社会など、さまざまなトピックについて思考するプログラム。XYZ collectiveと協働して日本、アメリカ、ドイツのアート･スペースやそこで活動する作家を紹介します。

2020.5-7のレジデンス・プログラム延期に伴い、7月のオープン・スタジオは中止。Due to the postponement of the May to July residency program, the July Open Studio has been cancelled.

TOKASレジデンシーに滞在中のクリエーターの制作やリサーチ活動を紹介するプログラム。クリエーターによる解説やゲストを招いてのトークイベント、スタッフによる作品解説、施設見学ツアーを開催します。

This program introduces the work or research of creators in residence at TOKAS Residency. It consists of explanation of works by the creators themselves, talk events with guest speakers and tours of the Residency facilities.

Workshops ワークショップ

「夏のこどもワークショップ」 2019“Summer Kids Workshop,” 2019

Artists are invited to serve as instructors of workshops for participants ranging from children to adults held at the TOKAS Residency studio or at TOKAS Hongo. (Prior reservations required for participation)

アーティストを講師に招き、こどもから大人までを対象としたワークショップを、TOKASレジデンシーのスタジオやTOKAS本郷を使って開催します（事前予約制）。
