Mindfulness Meditation
According to a recent study published in the journal “Neurology,” a mindfulness meditation (MM) program has been shown to reduce fatigue, anxiety and depression for up to 6 months in patients with MS. What will I learn? • What mindfulness meditation is and how
it differs from other forms of meditation • Physical & mental health benefits of MM • Instructions (and experience) in guided
and silent meditation practices • Available resources to help you start and
maintain a MM practice

It happens to everyone, a missing word or phrase, a name of a familiar object or place. It makes you feel disconnected from your own brain…and out of sync with the people around you. But for some of us, it’s more than the occasional memory stumble. It’s not uncommon for people with MS to complain of losing focus, getting lost or having problems remembering things.
In “Hold That Thought! Cognition and MS”, experts and people with MS confer together about strategies that help manage cognitive issues and maximize your abilities.
There will be a 30-minute video featuring well-known health care professionals in their field, followed by a discussion. Handouts will be provided.

Eating Well Eating Easy with MS
Life is stressful enough. Family responsibilities, career obligations — even the everyday grind of battling rush-hour traffic, racing to the supermarket and getting the laundry done — can contribute to raising our anxiety level. When you add in the responsibility of caring for a loved one with a chronic illness, life can sometimes seem overwhelming. Talking and sharing with others can alleviate some of the stress and isolation that we sometimes feel.
Join us Monday evenings via teleconference and connect with others with similar experiences, share resources and receive information that can help you support your loved one.

walk tocreate a worldfree of MS
Whether you just received a diagnosis of MS or have been living with it for a long time, the MS community is here to support you and help you
continue to move your life forward.
Join Walk MS by participating, volunteering, and/or recruiting others. Walk MS is a simple, but incredibly powerful way for the MS community
to come together and to be together.
Dollars raised help generate awareness and funds to support critical MS research and provide programs and services for people affected by MS.
