Programme in

Financing International Trade Business of banks in international front has become signicantly competitive and challenging in the present global scenario. Especially, demystication of the issues related to risk of international trade nance has become an important arena to explore. It has become all the more important for Indian banks to ease the availability of import and export nancing for promoting more export which in return would help Indian corporates to earn adequate foreign exchange. In this backdrop we intend to offer a ve-days training programme on the Trade Finance Product, Documentation and Mechanism of Export-Import Financing, Bank Guarantees, BPO, ICC rules like URC 522, UCP 600, ISP98, ISBP and URDG 758, application of FEMA in foreign exchange transaction. The programme endeavours to provide a broader understanding on the potential of Indian banks to grow in international front in the backdrop of an integrated and globalized framework.

Dates

September 8 – 12, 2015

The Programme will commence at 9.00 am on September 8, 2015 and

conclude by the evening of September 12, 2015. Participants are expected

to reach NIBM Campus positively by the evening of September 7, 2015 and

plan their return journey after 6.00 pm on September 12, 2015.

Venue

NIBM Campus, Kondhwe Khurd, Pune, India.

Hostel Accommodation

The Programme is fully residential. Participants will be provided well

furnished single room AC accommodation in the Institute's hostel complex

on the Campus. However, they will not be permitted to bring their family

members to stay on the campus. In case any Officer/Executive with

physical/medical disability is being nominated, kindly inform us in

advance with particulars of disability to facilitate necessary arrangements.

The Institute has facilities for outdoor and indoor games and a large

walking/jogging trail for physical fitness besides a yoga centre.

Participants are, therefore, encouraged to bring the appropriate

clothes/gears.

Dr Gargi Sanati

Assistant Professor

Money, International Banking and Finance

Dr Gargi Sanati is a Ph.D. in Economics from Centre for Development

Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. She has about 5 years experience

in teaching PG and conducting training programmes. She has coordinated

programmes like Forex Dealing with Bourse Game, Integrated Treasury

and Simulated Bourse Game, Treasury Management - focus Back Office

Functions, Forex Business and Financing International Trade. In PG she

teaches Econometrics, Advanced Econometrics, Trade Finance, Forex

Bourse. Besides, her research interest cover applied and operational

aspects of Trade Finance, Financial Integration, Universal Banking and

Macro-Finance.

Dr G NagarajuAssociate ProfessorMoney, International Banking and Finance

Dr Gotla Nagaraju has his Ph.D. in Economics from Osmania University.

He has about 15 years work experience at NIBM in training, teaching and

research. His training and teaching interests cover the areas of

international banking, trade financing, FEMA and regulations there

from, foreign investments and capital flows, quantitative methods,

foreign exchange market, risk management, corporate finance, etc. His

current research interest are in the areas of FDI and Foreign Portfolio

Investments and related developments and also in the areas of corporate

finance and credit behavior.
