Programme ScoPe The Certificate in Management and Entrepreneurship (CME), Diploma in Management and Entrepreneurship (DME) & Advanced Diploma in Management and Entrepreneurship (ADME) are suitable for management and entrepreneurship development or business development career minded candidates seeking to acquire specific competencies to differentiate themselves from the rest.

This programme would appeal to those already in the business or business development intending to enhance their competencies in management at different levels. These unique study programmes offer prospective candidates and practitioners of business development an opportunity to learn and apply sound conceptual learning to their diverse business situations.

The Diploma programmes will give participants management competencies from multiple dimensions whereas Certificate programme provides flavour and taste of management and entrepreneurship.

Programme objective The objective of the programme is to develop candidates with sound conceptual and practical knowledge in management/development with exposure to different business and entrepreneurial contexts. Thereby they should be able to consolidate, develop, and demonstrate core competencies which underpin effective management skills from functional level to strategic delivery level of their career.

Assessment for Certificate in Management & Entrepreneurship programmesFor the Certificate ProgrammeAn Integrated Assignment (Individual) : 30%A Presentation of the report (Presentation) : 20%Written Examination (Open Book) : 50% (80% of General attendance is compulsory for assessments)

Assessment for Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Management & Entrepreneurship programmesAn Integrated Assignment (Individual) : 30%A Presentation of the report (Presentation) : 10%Four (4) compulsory workshops : 20%Written Examination (Open Book) : 40% (80% of General attendance is compulsory for assessments)

learning metHodology Class Room Learning, Practical workshop with the industry experts, Studying of a running Business Start-up, Studying of an entrepreneurial business personality.We believe in interactive sessions. A typical day would involve intense classroom sessions, with much prior preparation and syndicate work.

n The Professional Study Programme in Management and Entrepreneurship (Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma) are exclusively awarded by The Institute of Chartered Professional Managers of SriLanka

n Only participants who have successfully completed all examinations, assignments within four (4) years and paid all fees in full will be awarded the “Diploma in Management and Entrepreneurship / Advanced Diploma in Management and Entrepreneurship” Certificate at the Annual Graduation Ceremony.

Participant who is obtaining highest marks of the batch will be awarded the best student award (a medal and a certificate) at the Annual Graduation Ceremony.

CPM MembershipAll qualified participants of Diploma and Advanced Diploma, may apply for either the associate or the full membership status based on their work experience and existing members are qualify to upgrade their membership to the next level as required in the constitution of CPM Sri Lanka.
