My heartiest congratulations to all the award and prize winners, well done and we’re very proud of you!

Being at the top in the respective cohorts, undeniably you are our “best products”. You are looked upon as the shining examples. We have high expectation for you. We expect you to be super-competent, work ready, confident and at the same time ethical and professional. We want you to be excellent role models for your juniors. We expect you to be the best ambassadors out there for IMU, and please keep on flying the IMU flag high!

For some of you, your professional life will begin when you get a job. There are many adaptations that you need to make, from what it is as a student. You’ll soon realise that it is not just knowledge, clinical and technical skills that will be important, but many of the soft skills like communication, team work, and leadership that will ensure a successful work life and career.

Quoting Irving Berlin:The toughest thing about success, is that you’ve got to keep on being a success. Talent is only a starting point. You’ve to keep on working that talent.

Another quote from Pele:Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.
