ConCorso InternazIonale lungometraggI (Cl)InternatIonal Feature-length DoCumentary CompetItIon (Cl)Selezione di quattordici documentari inediti in Italia. Saranno giudicati dalla Giuria interna-zionale composta da tre membri che assegner i seguenti premi: Premio al miglior docu-mentario (8.000 euro), Premio alla regia (3.500 euro), Targa Gian Paolo Paoli al miglior lmetno-antropologico. I lm concorreranno inoltre al Premio del Pubblico.

A selection of fourteen documentaries, all Italian premieres. They will be judged by an Inter-national Jury made up of three members who will award the following prizes: Best Documen-

tary Award (8,000 euro), Best Director Award (3,500 euro) and the Targa Gian Paolo Paoli forthe Best Ethno-Anthropological Film. The lms also compete for the Audience Award.

Profondo conoscitore della storia e della cultura del proprio paese, Andrs DiTella ci propone dei percorsi nella conoscenza: viaggi, incontri, testimonianze si compongonoin una narrazione appassionante e ricca di risvolti avventurosi. La retrospettiva organizzata incollaborazione con INCAA (Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales) . A Firenze, il regi-sta incontrer il pubblico e terr un workshop dedicato alla scrittura per il documentario.

A complete retrospective - for the rst time in Italy - dedicated to Andrs Di Tella, one o f themost representative lmmakers in contemporary Argentinean cinema. In his lms, Di Tellashows us his deep knowledge of the history and culture of his own country. His works givethe audience the possibility to explore knowledge paths: travels, encounters and storiescreate a narrative full of exciting and mysterious implications. The retrospective is organizedin collaboration with the INCAA - Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales. The lm-maker will be in Florence to meet the audience and to hold a workshop dedicated to writingfor documentaries.

As special guests of the 53rd Festival dei Popoli, Raymond Depardon and Claudine Nougaretwill be in Florence to present their last lm: Journal de France. The tribute to Depardonpresents a selection of his most signicant works. The event is organized in collaboration withthe French Embassy and with the French Institute of Florence.
