Student Obligations

Students who are offered a dance scholarship are

expected to be a part of our Junior Eisteddfod Troupe.

This will involve a 1 day after school rehearsal and one

lunch time rehearsal. The styles students can choose

from include jazz, contemporary, and hip hop.

Program Summary

Loganlea State High School offers an extensive dance program that promotes

excellence through inter-school and eisteddfod performances. Year 7 and 8

students have the opportunity to participate in over 60 lessons per year through

their elective dance subject and participation in the Pump Dance Team which is

run by trained industry professionals.

Eisteddfod's give dance students the opportunity to perform at competition level

in a variety of professional venues. Membership in Pump Junior Dance Troupe

prepares students for future participation in a number of senior performance

groups specialising in jazz, contemporary and hip hop. Loganlea annually hires

professional choreographers from leading Brisbane dance companies to extend

and engage dance students.

This scholarship includes

Resource Hire Scheme fees, Eisteddfod entry fees and a

Dance Troupe t-shirt.
