DONE IN A DAY Project Helping Habitat for Humanity
SCHEDULED!
The next project work the Club will undertake on Friday,December 4 is "Brush With Kindness" for Habitat forHumanity. This wonderful effort will involve building awheelchair ramp for someone who needs better andsafer access to their home. With enough people, it should be a "Done in a Day"project. Good feelings for your work will be pricelessand will last much longer than one day! Chair Shannon Williamson asks you to plan now to give"Service Above Self" to someone who needs you. Pleaseindicate when you can work by signing up here. Watch this video from Lincolnshire on their involvement inthe "Brush With Kindness" program. It will convince you tocome out and help with our first Habitat "Brush withKindness" project, rescheduled for Friday, December 4!

Rotary After Hours
Rotary After Hours Rotary After Hours at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas was one thatshouldn't have been missed! Despite some rainy weather, the group waslarge and engaged with the exhibits at the outstanding museum. Thefood and drink provided by our host, Lynn Castle, was delicious! Many,many thanks to Lynn who is always happy to host Rotary and rolls outthe red carpet for us!

District Interact and Rotaract Clubs. The District providedpizza and the Beaumont Club assisted by providing drinks. Students and club sponsors listened intently as speakersaddressed the too prevalent issue of human trafficking in ourlocal area. They hung on every word the professionals had toshare.Then, they got up and did something to help. They took thedonated toiletries and put together packages that might helpan individual who was rescued from the situation. Eachwrote an inspirational message on a card to be given to theyoung girl too. Jim Baxter, Sheree Pierce, and Cindy Cherry were on hand tohelp and had a good time visiting with the students andsponsors of both Beaumont Interact clubs at West Brook andMonsignor Kelly.
