Welcome and thank you for attending today’s Financial Planning Day!
Dear Financial Planning Day attendee,
You may have come across the term “financial planning” and wondered what
it means. You may have decided to start your own financial plan but you’re not
sure how to begin. Or you may have a specific question about your personal
financial planning situation and feel it’s time you went to a financial planner for
some professional advice. No matter what category you are in, today’s FinancialPlanning Day can help you get the information you need.
We are very pleased to welcome you to this special event. Over the years, our
organizations have seen up close the economic challenges people are facing
across our nation. Many have pressing financial questions that need answers, and
unfortunately, many have not had the opportunity to discuss those questions with
professional financial planners. This has presented us—the financial planning
community and local governments nationwide—with a shared vision to unite ourcollective resources and bring you Financial Planning Days.
Today’s Financial Planning Day is an opportunity to get your financial questions
answered by professional financial planners. These professionals include those
who have earned the prestigious CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification
and experts from the Financial Planning Association®. Your conversations are
confidential—there will be no sale of products or services and not even a business
card will be offered. In other words, there are no strings attached. In addition to
the one-on-one advice, you’ll be able to attend educational workshops addressing
popular financial topics.
We hope that today’s Financial Planning Day will provide you with first-hand
experience on how financial planning can improve your life. And to help you get
started with your own financial plan after today’s event, be sure to pick up the free
publications and resources.
