Does your Unit have an activity they want to show off? Join the ConnJam Midway!

Email [email protected] We would like your unit to actively participate in this year's Council- wide Scouting event - ConnJam 2018. We are eager to put together a program that will truly reflect the opportunities that Scouting has to offer all of our Youth today. The program midway will be open on Saturday May 16th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and we would like your unit to have an activity or booth that highlights one of your unit's interests. Let the whole council know what makes your unit unique. It could be as simple as a static display of an exciting event your unit participated in or as complex as a pioneer-ing tower or interactive game.

ConnJam Ultimate Frisbee Tournament Ultimate is a fun, fast-paced team sport that combines the nonstop movement and athletic endurance of soccer with the aerial passing skills of football using a flying disc. Ultimate relies on sportsmanship, invoking the "Spirit of the Game" to maintain fair play.

Join us for a USA ULTIMATE approved tournament.

1. Troops/Crews can enter a team in a Single Elimination Round-Robin tournament. 2. A single-elimination, knockout, or sudden death tournament is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of each match-up is immediately eliminated from the tour-nament. Each winner will play another in the next round, until the final match-up, whose winner becomes the tournament champion. We hope to offer each team 2 games before elimination. 3. A regulation game has 7 players on each team. Each team can have up to 11 to al-low for substitutes. If you can’t field a team let us know, and we’ll do our best to com-bine you with another smaller team. 4. We are limiting this to 16 Teams. Each team consists of youth (under 18 years of age) from a Boy Scout Troop or Venturing Crew. 5. Each Team must be ConnJam registered with their unit to play in the tournament. 6. Participation recognition will be provided for each team and a Championship Trophy presented to the winning team. 7. USA ULTIMATE through the New England Ultimate Chapter will be providing guid-ance, official rules, and game officials.

This will be a youth run event. Team Captains will meet at 9:15 am to meet with Game Officials to fi-nalize setting up the Tournament. Play time will start at 10 AM. We will have adult observers to inter-cede if necessary.

Sign up your team early. Deadline is Monday, May 7 or 12 teams — whichever comes first. To reserve a Team spot for your Troop or Crew http://www.ctyankee.org/webpay/event/new/?form=000533 Or email [email protected]
