ASOPRS 2019 SPRING SYMPOSIUM PROGRAM BOOK 3

What would be a better place to commence the 50th celebration of ASOPRS than Paradise Island? Marlene and I are thrilled to be hosting you at the Atlantis . Like most of you, we always enjoy and look forward to the Spring Meetings . It provides our members and their families the opportunity to renew lifelong friendships, create new ones, and to meet the new members, as well as learn all the latest advances from our esteemed colleagues .

Our excellent Spring Program Chair, Cathy Hwang, has organized an exceptional program with a prodigious lineup of educational sessions including: YASOPRS Rapid Fire Cases, the Leadership Development Workshop and an ASOPRS 50th Anniversary Reflections session . Scientific Sessions on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning will cover the breadth of Aesthetic and Functional Oculofacial Surgery .

Our meeting will commence Thursday afternoon featuring Ms. Marsheila DeVan who will present the Leadership Workshop: Communicating with Confidence & Working with Different Personalities . The President's Welcome Reception will be held 6 to 8 pm on “The Dig Deck” with local entertainment .

Our Featured Speaker, Dr. Renée Ostertag, DPT, MPT, Cert. MDT, M.Physio, CCTP, who is our ASOPRS Foundation Ralph E . Wesley Lecturer, will share with us her advice on how to Be Good to Your Back: Posturing for Health .

The Annual ASOPRS Golf Tournament will be held Friday afternoon at The Ocean Club, a challenging, masterfully-conceived and stunning course on the Atlantis, Paradise Island Oceanside's peninsula . On Saturday afternoon, enjoy an ASOPRS Tennis Tournament or interact with dolphins at the Atlantis' Dolphin Cay . If you have not signed up for these activities and desire to, please check with registration .

In addition, the Atlantis has almost any water activity you could ever desire, including scuba, snuba, and snorkeling . Visit the Atlantis' Marine Adventures webpage for more information .

Our Annual Banquet on Saturday will be held at “The Royal Deck,” where we have the pleasure of welcoming and inducting our newest members, and great entertainment is planned .

Of course, all of this would not be possible if it was not for the great skills and efforts of our Executive Staff, Tisha Kehn and Amanda Macrina and all the time they have put into this over the past two years . We are also greatly indebted to our industry sponsors, who provide the financial support that allows us to provide such a high-caliber meeting and achieve our educational goals .

Thank you for helping us commence our 50th year celebration of ASOPRS . I am greatly honored and delighted to host this inspirational learning and collegial experience .
